Can anyone explain to me why Marvel has decided to make Wolverine a woman. Nothing against women but I see no scene of making Wolverine a woman.
Why Marvel? Oh Why!?
Don't worry, he'll be back soon anyway.
I'm not really angry about Wolverine being X-23 since Logan is still around and X-23 is a pretty suitable candidate if you ask me. I like to think this as the Death of Superman where Logan is gone for a couple of years and she is honoring Logan's mantle as if saying there must always be a Wolverine.

They didn't "make Wolverine a woman." They just made X-23 wear his costume. Why are people overreacting? They didn't use some sorcery to make Logan a female, and it's not as if he won't be around anymore.
HOWEVER, I would agree with anyone out there who says that costume does not belong on a woman. It made me think she was bald for a minute. Say what you want. I don't like that costume on her. At least the mask.
@twentyfive: I think an Ultimate Wolverine type suit would look better on her. But that may just be me used to seeing her in dark outfits.
@xwraith: Do you think angry kids know anything ?
So its fine for a male character to pass on his mantle so long as its to another guy? Cause I don't remember people getting so worked up when Bucky became Cap, in fact I remember getting bitched at a lot because I didn't like Dick Grayson becoming Batman, I had no problem with the mantle passing on I just felt it was a lateral move for him.
@darling_luna:Perhaps not.
Making Wolvwrine a woman would have actually made headlines... Wolverine always thought he was better as a woman, so he asks Apokolios for hel in the transformation. by Bendis and Leinil Yu. I don't like those two creators that's why I name dropped them.
That's not Logan, Wolverines dead, that's X-23. She's taking up the mantle since he's gone.

@xwraith: You've been on the net : D
Because women need a role model. Don't you know people can't be inspired by somebody different than themselves in any way?
You're kidding, right?
@mynameiswill: I am, but that seems to be the argument backing the changing of characters' gender/race/sexual orientation.
LOL they are starting to call X-23 Wolverine now? F*ck it, let's have She-Hulk replace Hulk and just call her 'Hulk'. I mean, we don't want to be sexist right? Or we could call Rescue Iron Man from now on. Pepper Potts is clearly a chick, but the name 'Iron Man' is really prejudice.
Getting sick of all this bitching. This shit happens ALL THE TIME in comics (referring to Marvel and DC, btw).
I don't see why its a big deal now. Just sayin'.
@noone301994: Exactly! And Invisible Woman? Like being a woman is how a person is identified! She doesn't need a label or a man to tell her what she is! The level of prejudice in comics is insane. Maybe she's a gay man inside of a woman's body. To be forced into identifying as a woman is grossly offensive.
@sentry4: Have I ever told you that I sexually identify as an attack helicopter?
@noone301994: Then you should have the courage to be who you are. We can rebuild you. We have the technology. We can make you better than you were. Better, stronger, faster, dual mounted machine guns and twin T700 Turboshaft engines.
Well they did the same with Thor, Captain Marvel and who knows who else. Its just a phase it will pass...
@joshmightbe: Actually this is very much like Buck becoming Cap now that I think of it.

@sentry4: not really. They aren't saying that people can't relate or be inspired, it's just easier/ more meaningful for a lot of them.
