Why Marvel NOW and ANMN?

Hi, I don't get why Marvel rebooted to All-New Marvel NOW! was there a reason?

Marvel wanted another boost in sales.

@elitechief: there's no reboot, they just renumbered the books for attention to new stories. A reboot is throwing all the old continuity ( New52 for example) and starting fresh, Marvels history is unchanged for the most part.

So that means that most of the current books will be relaunched later on?

It's meant to be a lot of good jumping on points and new series at once, but basically translates into sales gimmick.

Avengers Now is the next stage of that, where they change the status quo of major Avengers and relaunch new series around it.

All-New Marvel Now was just new titles bring launched.

...which, now that I think about it, is probably why they called it that.
