In almost every major story I've read from marvel, Wolverine is always in the middle of it all. I think they should mix it around more at least.

Eh.. Why is Batman the main character in every major DC storyline? As the old saying goes "Ya gotta dance with who brought ya."

#6 Posted by Mutation (3 posts) - - Show Bio

Because he's insanely popular.

Every major story? I didn't think that happened in Infinity, Fear Itself, War of Kings, Civil War, Avengers vs X-Men, Siege, .........

Way to exaggerate.

same reason Batman is with DC.

these companies have been in business for a long ass time. they know how to sell.

I'd say he's just a little below Pete overall.

All of them. Your well-known fanboyism is blinding you. Just accept our truth.

@reaperonyx: It's all about the benjamins, I'd reckon. Wolverine=sales. Or he did. Oversaturating the market, though, can have negative implications on a brand. The problem with Devil's Night in The Crow? Novelty becoming institution? Wolverine creative teams have to contend with this all too often, I imagine.

OVERRATED. He knows every single martial art there is from hundreds of years of experience, but hasn't learned ANY WAY WHATSOEVER to pick up women.

@fallschirmjager: Batman has the most books in DC, but the Geoff Johns doesnt want every story to revolve around Batman...hence why Batman fans hate him.

As long as GJ runs DC, Batman wont ever be Wolverine.

He can fit into almost any niche needed to make something cool. Soldier. Ninja. Teacher. Savage. Cowboy. Mentor. Assassin. And so on.

Personally I do not care for all that.

Because Wolverine is awesome

I think it's because other than the Hulk he was one of the first most mainstream marvel heroes. The X-Men films have a big part in it, he's the definitive Marvel hero beside Spider-Man and Iron Man in terms of films. This obviously does have an influence on comic books because they're who mainstream fans want to see.

Disagree. He's on his ankle, he's fighting for first, he's close to a tie, but he's not tying with Parker at the moment. Nope.

ON TOPIC:

As previously stated he's uber popular. What's next? Are you going to ask why is Batman the center of attention? i(+)

#26 Edited by Cloakx14 (4298 posts) - - Show Bio

because he's an anti-hero.

This is why.

@wolverine08: Overall they're both far below Iron Man. But his popularity comes mostly from outside of media instead comics.

Wow. This. I had never even thought of it that way.

Wolverine just gets re-imaged all the time.
