Why is JL Part 2 coming out before Green Lantern?

I know this is late but it I just now thought of this.

I'm not mad or upset about it but I'm just a little confused.

Doesn't it seem a bit odd that they release the second part of Justice League (2019) before Green Lantern (2020) gets his own movie?

Will the JL films will feature a different GL than what the standalone movie will feature or what? Help :()

Couldn't say, but that's a fine theory. Hal makes the League, Stewart is in the GL Corps movie.

Alternately, Hal is in both, but in the GL standalone, he serves as a mentor to Kyle Rayner.

There are a few different scenarios.

DC is hoping it'll be long enough for people to forget the first film.

This. even though i actually did enjoy Green Lantern.

I enjoyed Green Lantern too, by expecting it to be what it was, a lazily written special effects monster with attractive leads. And I did giggle inside at the homages to vintage GL scenes. But I agree, WB wants to wash our mouths clean of GL's first go around before shoving it down our throats again.

I did hear a rumor that at the end of Part 1, Green Lantern tells the Justice League that Darkseid is coming and Part 2 would have Darkseid as the main villain.

If you ask me: Darkseid should be the main villain for the final Justice League movie unless WB is planning to use the Anti-Monitor as the main villain for Justice League 2 A.K.A. The third Justice League movie if they want to have a bigger threat than Darkseid and Brainiac.

By the way: It was also rumored that Brainiac would be the main villain for Justice League Part 1.

Green Lantern is where they'd focus on the Lantern Corps instead of cramming it all into the Justice League movies.

They maybe setting the Green Lantern Movie for the Anti-Monitor to appear.

Probably because the First one flopped.

It's funny..you think DC would of had Justice League out before The Avengers

They want to wash the taste of the first film out.

Same reason why Wonder Woman is making her debut in BvS, DC is probably just testing out how audiences will react to him. Especially since his last cinematic outing was horrible.

GL will leave Earth after the events of JL and dedicate his full attention to the Corps, like in the comics.

Definitely a good theory and could very well be the answer we are looking for. But that doesn't explain Cyborg….hmmm…..

It's rumored that GL will make an appearance at the end of JL movie to warn the others about Darkseid so he make a proper debut in JL 2. Anyways
