Just viewed the new teaser for bvs, it does its job well by making me want more. Loved it. However it seems a little too dark for Superman. Superman straight up looks like Bizarro. Any thoughts?
Why is Batman v Superman so dark?
yeah im pretty sure thats a dream sequence to get batflecks jimmie rustled enough to start a fight with supes. but as a whole if they were not darker in tone they would just seem like a marvel knock off.... when theyve tried lighter (batman forever, batman robin, superman returns) they failed miserably they went dark and gritty with nolans trilogy and made a few billion so they stuck with it.
It looks AMAZING! No words spoken yet the teaser left me wanting more!!!! These two on screen for the first time in a major motion picture is kind of a big deal!!! :D
For god sakes not this again.

Lol, I actually like serious and dark movies. Enjoyed Man Of Steel very much. I have high hopes for BvS. But in this case Superman straight up looks menacing and grim, he almost made Batman crap his pants with that gaze. Seems a little out of character for Sups, ain't it?
@firedude17: it's a dream
@darknightspideyfanboy: Maybe it´s his fantasy.
It's not dark but you can consider it a bit darker than Marvel movies in some ways but they are few.

@incursion: there's humor, it's just not in your face please notice how funny we are kind of humor.

Well when your beloved Superman gets to meet his destiny from The Dark Knight, it obviously is going to be a dark day.
Serious? Sure. Dark? Lol no.
Seriously, people have got to learn there's a difference.

I watched the trailer and all i kept thinking was INJUSTICE.
same
Because of a movie series that made them a heck of a lot of money. You may have heard of it. It's called the Dark Knight Trilogy.
1. It's a nightmare, nightmares are scary
2. The movie itself is serious
3. Batman
Oh so you're suggesting that DC should make their movies lighter... as in Marvel lighter... HERATIC
i think the only way that superhero's can translate to a mainstream adult audience that doesn't follow them is by either being very dark and serious and "realistic" or by being fun and comedic... Marvel has already gone the fun route and DC experienced massive success with Nolan's dark, gritty and semi-plausible Batman... so it only makes sense they would try to continue that direction.
I think the funny thing about the whole deal is that the more the movies start to feel like comics... the more people like them. I read an article somewhere on superheroes only being believable BECAUSE they're so outlandish and strange. You watch the DC animated shows and you're whisked right in, no trouble, but the live action stuff they're afraid to even say "superman"
i think eventually we'll get movies that are nearly shot-for-shot remakes of the comics, and people will absolutely love them. A good story is a good story, no way around that.
