Why Fox put Deadpool movie on February ???

Yes I know people excited for Deadpool movie but here hear my opinion about the February 2016 release dates schdedule. Here is mu only concern

-Usually the movie that release on January and February , the box office numbers is not so high compare to Summer or even December. The reason is not many people really watch movie during that January and February time. Besides the mindset of people nowadays is that every movie that release on January and February usually bad and mediocre. So if Fox really want Deadpool movie to be huge success then why not release on another month.

It doesn't matter when a movie is released anymore. The summer blockbuster is gone. Now it's just the blockbuster. EX. The Lego Movie was released in February.

EDIT: I guess I shouldn't say the Summer blockbuster is gone... rather that a blockbuster can exist outside of Summer.

@eyedcyou: yup you're right about Lego Movie on February but if Lego Movie release on Summer it will make better and huge amount of box office success compare to February release dates imo

@boynerdgeek: That's probably true, but it's more expensive for a studio to obtain a Summer date, and if Fox already has Summer dates for Fantastic 4 and X-Men that year, they might want to keep Deadpool further away to maintain the success of their franchise films.

Where else could fox put the Deadpool movie?

The Fox "The Fantastic Four" movie has a August 7, 2015 released date...

@4thor: Maybe around June. We know Deadpool movie has potential to beat TMNT 2 since GOTG beat TMNT. Also like I said more kids and adults watch movie on the summer

Should be "Why did Fox set the Deadpool movie to release in February?" or some such.

Are you sure June of 2016 it's a good month remember that X-Men: Apocalypse comes out in May 27 of 2016 so it's the same studio so it had to go to the middle of the month and there are heavy hitters there like Finding Dory and Transformers 5, and in the beginning of July Doctor Strange...

Deadpool isnt a famous character, if he goes and compete against everybody else, there is a good chance it gets stomped byt the rest of movies.

Remmeber that if the movie cost 150 Deadpool need to make 300, if it cost 200 it need to make 400, just to get his budget back.
