He can't kill. And Joker always escapes Arkham. Why not ask his best best bud Clark to put Joker in the Phantom Zone?

And if Joker does escape, I will find it better than him just strolling out of Arkham.

he'll get killed by the other people by making them mad.

Well, Batman is pretty psychotic himself. He actually preps and expects the villains to escape the jails. Otherwise, he would just get bored.

Batman would probably not approve of superseding conventional law and prisons by trapping Joker in a place he'd effectively live forever in. It's likely unethical to him.

You say that like Phantom Zone criminals haven't broken out before. Not only that buy they live forever in there.

@Dernman: yes. but i think that would be different than escaping from arkham. Tougher at least.

@7am_Waking_Up_In_The_Morning: That's actually something what i said in an older forum before :D

@TheKnifeRose: Havn't justice league used the Phantom zone several time to imprison someone.

Actually with the Avengers now thinking of sending Frank Castle into their negative zone prison, it got me thinking.

You can't die in the Phantom Zone.

@dboy4dashing: Because then we'd have no more Joker stories.

Zod, Prometheus, Gloria, SuperboyPrime, Ursa, the dumbretardedfck named Bizarro and other criminals escape the Zone all the time

Allowing an insane genius like Joker to team up with super powered dictators would be a terrible idea

@Mbecks14: true that

Cardboard is extremely durable and cheap. Arkham is secured fine.

Joker actually was put in a legit secure prison once. Took him a day to break out IIRC.
Arkham may be bad, but even still the Joker's power is clearly the ability to break out of any prison. Mr.Miracle is probably jealous of him.

This.

Comics aren't meant to reflect reality not fully at least anyway.

Because there will always be some moral issue preventing Batman from doing what actually needs to be done to keep Joker from hurting people, that's been the argument against killing him as well as the most common one I got on my thread for why Batman can't cripple Joker.

#18 Posted by Hesajoke (8 posts) - - Show Bio

Joker stays in Arkham, he says, because he wants to be there. Arkham, I guess, is his summer house. So it shouldn't be stated that Arkham is in anyway secure.

I'm going to say that Batman won't put Joker in the PZ or boom tube him to a dead planet because Joker then is left to his own devices, Batman has no control of the PZ and wouldn't be able to monitor the Joker as he would in Arkham

Exactly. I mean "logically" why wouldn't Batman just arm himself with super technology or magic when he sometimes hangs out with the likes of Superman, Zatanna, and Green Lantern? There's a separation with logic when it comes to any story, especially fantasy ones like comics. And then there's the sort of system in the DCU where everyone has their own "world" and they sometimes blend in crossovers or team stories. Batman's "world" is dark and less fantastical than say Wonder Woman's "world" where she is fighting gods and monsters. Each character has their own mythology and the DCU is kind of a big patchwork quilt that is made from these different fictional story worlds. That's why we rarely see heroes fighting other characters villains, and why there are so few successful/interesting superhero relationships with other superheroes. Superman fighting the Joker would be as ridiculous as Green Lantern shacking up with Iris West.

Yeah that is a good way of describing the DCU.

I think sometimes people forget it is fiction and even in the more realistic universe like Batmans it is still a bit of a stretch from the real world.

Because deep down Batman knows that Joker is right and that he is wrong and the humiliation of knowing this drives him to repression.

Also Batman inherently distrusts the Kryptonians.
