Why doesn't Kano ever use guns?

I mean, he is an arms dealer. A leader of a mercenary group that's been giving the U.S. Military a heap of trouble. So why does he only ever use knives?

He's brutal/sadistic that way

He has eye lasers, why would he need a gun?

It seems like guns are useless in Mortal Kombat-verse anyway. While I don't know much about the tie-in comics to the games, almost every time I have seen guns used the cinematics of the last two Mortal Kombat games they have proven to be ineffectual. So I guess maybe Kano is an actual arms dealer, as in giving people better arms since fists are one of the best weapons that exist in that universe.

He wants to show people that he studied all their moves.

Why use bullets when he can shoot a laser out of his face, throw knives and do that bs spin.

Also guns are for scrubs like Stryker.
