I mean it wasn't that memorable or great, but it was a fun action movie with a distinguishable villain and hero.
Why does everybody not like Avatar?
I enjoyed the movie. I think people just see all that money it made and expect it to be THE GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME! Sucks that it's been taking so long to get a sequel out.
@eyedcyou: i don't know what TLAB is
@thecowwasdelirious: the last airbender
People need to hate something to feel great.
Avatar made tons of money and became the hottest thing since sliced bread, even when the truth ist that it sold less tickets that Star Wars.
@eyedcyou: lol blue people
i actually saw The Last Airbender movie in theater...
I don't know if the film has that many detractors, but it's amazing how irrelevant that film is now.
I actually like the movie and I`m surprised there are a large faction of people who are very opposed to it.
Watching Avatar was physically a painful experience. The 3D hurt my eyes like 15 minutes into the film and it was a 3hr film. I would have left the cinema if it wasn't for me being at the end of the row.
Also the film was crap. Badly written oh look at the bright coulourful jellyfish thingies.
I don't hate it, I'm just baffled that out of all the movies out that. Dances with Aliens made the most money.
Never seen it. Don't plan on anytime soon.
- Most overhyped movie of all time
- worn out boring story we have seen a thousand times before
- terrible lead actor (it should be a prerequisit to be a Hollywood leading man to actually put on a convincing American accent, the easiest accent to do)
- absolutely no substance to the story
- Finally, for the highest grossing movie of all time, it has had absolutely no cultural impact. Six years later and no one remembers or cares about Avatar.
Visually and sound effect wise it was amazing. It's the greatest CGI achievement of all time. Honestly it's how you would have to make a Planet Hulk movie. Story wise, it's kinda weak. It's just dancing with wolves with Aliens.
