Please help me with this question

I liked it, I respect those who love

but why people hate it.

Ok some changes are ridiculous, for example Raven.

WTF happened with her, but demon knights and Lobos adventures are cool.

In old Dc they killed characters, and in new one they can change it, and add new super heroes more cooler than Superguy. Add some crazy neutrals like lobo, and so on

I guess people don't like change which for comic book fans is kinda ironic.

Ok

Some characters biography was cool, but

I have many loved characters which fate was death

And why it must be the new 52 for two three characters, it will be better to change them all

Sorry for bad English

Because the characters are being changed beyond recognition, there are constant continuity errors, the characters only share their former counterparts in name, and nothing else.....and tons of other things.

Wait

It is reboot, so they can be more adventures, and cool new heroes with new stories

Old DC was history of further crises

I like it, but some of the changes are ridiculous, and the timeline is nonsensical.

This. Although I prefer the old universe, this one is pretty good too.

They could do the exact same thing pre-new 52.

And while the old DCu had many complications in their history and they callously killed off their characters/ruined them, things still aren't necessarily better here.

And I don't mind the crisis' that the old universe had.

like above said my problem is the timeline. they moved way too fast. they could have planned their universe alot better. they have DCU/Vertigo/Milestone/Wildstorm to all deal with and with patience could have easily. you have the world's best selling characters and just shouldn't had exploded on with stories. you could eventually gotten on to other characters after making them popular enough within the top 5-7 comics then giving them stories.

The five year gap and the fuzzy chronology was a little rediculous with me. A lot of the character changes were alright though.

I prefer N52 to pre-flashpoint. But I started reading after N52 so I could just pick and choose my titles and preferred N52 (I read the best of both though). I think nostalgia is the main reason people prefer the old stuff.

I also don't care about continuity so the 5 year timeline issues don't bother me. Realistically the pre-flashpoint universe wouldn't fit in a 10ish year timeline anyway (which is what it would have to be for the lack of aging), its just less blatant.

Continuity wise New 52 has been a bit of a mess, but it's had a lot of good stories. Zero Year is probably the best Riddler story ever, the Green Lantern stuff has been great, and Nightwing/Grayson's evolution has been interesting to say the least.

The biggest issue is just the continuity confusion.

Well, I believe the main reason they did this is to help bring in new readers. So new people don't feel overwhelmed by all the comics they have to read to understand later ones, and so they know where a good place to start would be. But I enjoy reading the New52, I like the Flash the most, the Batman series they got going is a littler too dark for my taste, and the Superman series just couldn't keep me interested, but Flash is going great.

I liked it, and I liked the pre 52 as well. I don't care at all about continuity. The New 52 had good and bad books. Pre 52 had good and bad books. Marvel has good and bad books. I think people simply like to complain. Marvel's recent stories change a lot of their characters as much the New 52 did. My main gripe with DC now is many of their best books aren't selling. (Omega Men, Dr. Fate,etc..) That and the art, but I find a lot of the art in comics not very good now. Too many background shots are just a color block and facial detail seems to have given way to generic "oval head with dots for eyes and a slash for the nose." style.

Years later, and I still admit the continuity is a mess, but I still like the bulk of what DC is doing.

The change isn't the problem it's the execution and lack of characters that were great in pre n52 and the fact that books have been cancelled or characters forgotten. Plus the Batman universe overexposure, bad writing, weird characterization, a whole number of things.

some of the stories are so convoluted...like teen titans for example

Bart Allen is from the future, but GASP his real name isn't bart allen, it is bart tor, and he was a criminal sent back in time for witness protection, because that is a great place to put someone who caused so much problems... "the past" there is no way he could do any harm there. and he just happens to have the fake name of bart allen with no connection to barry at all.

It's all sloppy writing, and their stories just end up going no where at times.

Don't even get me started with Super boy.

N.O.W.H.E.R.E., is garbage

Tim is pretty much all over the place

Superman has it's up's and downs.

I don't hate all the stories or all the characters

It ruined some characters. The books that were good, got canceled *cough* Demon Knights *cough*. Some of the stories just aren't very good. Changed some histories as well.

They gave Superman a very stupid Solar Flare power. Okay, yes, flaming up is for this Marvel character called "The Human Torch". Even worse, this solar flare power of Superman got passed on to other Kryptonians, and is just added on top of the other powers that he already has anyways. They might as well go back to making Superman a hot bachelor and a goof like they did in the Silver Age or something. Either way, the Solar Flare thing was written in and it was lame.

Then Batman has pretty much everything. No insult to DC's greatest selling character right now, but it's rediculous that people know how to write Batman but not so much others. This lead up to the reboot problem in the first place.

I could go on, but these are some of the biggest issues I had with the story of the rebooted Universe.

Well for one, it was more of a revamp than reboot. The continuity was condensed more than refreshed and it just made things more convoluted and confusing. Making everything that they kept occur in a five year time period puts certain things in a weird lens now, such as the entire idea of Robin or Barbara Gordon healing from paralysis. The tone of the universe was driven to be much darker overall which plenty of people dislike. A lot of fans of characters who aren't A-list had several reasons to be disappointed, some of which being that they just had no idea what the hell happened to characters they liked and had to wait to find out, or them just undergoing changes that were strange and off-putting. On top of that, lots of promising books and ideas for New 52 just didn't deliver.

I'm saying this as someone that's mostly indifferent to New 52, mind you.

Well for me its about continuity and the fact that they really had no solid plan on what they wanted to do with the reboot.. Do i enjoy some of the titles? of course but its not like reading comics should be.. I shouldn't have to figure out if timelines of the characters. Also i shouldn't have to figure out what is cannon for certain characters ie batman... The pre flashpoint batman obviously existed so the load of crap that was the same batman was just that crap.. Now we have no real idea how anything happened with that character,, yes it makes references and that is supposed to make those stories cannon but they pick and choose and it shouldn't be like that.. Heck under the red hood story arc was completely drawn differently when it was "referenced" for bats and red hood in red hood and the outlaws number 2??(i can't remember).. anyways that's when we were supposed to be assuming that jason and bruce were the same characters.... Ton's of stuff like that... It looks the writers don't talk to each other when writing their stories either.. I mean we had a 6 issue arc about getting our nightwing back for him to dawn the threads for no real reason in titan's hunt... Not that titans hunt is a bad story,, it is just irritating..
