Why do animated robin today has now staff

I mean for tim drake it makes more since but why do modern animators just give dick Grayson or Jason Todd but not sure about Jason Todd but why do in The teen titans show , The batman (2004) and young justice animated series have dick Grayson using a Bo staff . I mean the animated series and 60s batman show got it right. But would it make more since if they just gave it to tim drake robin or other robins nowadays. What do you guys think

When did Dick Grayson use a staff in Young Justice? I don't remember him using a staff as Robin nor during his time as Nightwing. The only Robin to use a bo-staff in the show was Tim Drake during season two.

I can't remember if Dick used a staff in Teen Titans, I don't believe he or Tim Drake used one at all in Batman: TAS, and the only animated appearance of Jason Todd, that I can think of, was in Under the Red Hood and he didn't use one either.

The only time I can think of Dick Grayson using the staff is in Arkham Origins, but I believe that was only because they used to the same fighting mechanics for Tim Drake from Arkham City.

Personally I prefer each Robin having their own signature weapon. Like Dick using his twin baton sticks (forgot what they're called...), Tim using his bo-staff, and Damian using Batarangs as knifes or his sword(s).

@war_killer: you seriously don't remember the staff in Teen Titans? Was there an episode where he didn't have it.

Anyway, I agree. Give them each their own weapon.

I haven't watched the show in years, I honestly couldn't remember.

I mean I think arkham origin should have use like normal fist or 2 sticks like nightwing.

Just as with the Flash, DC combines all of the Robins to create an amalgam Robin who can be digested by mainstream audiences.

It makes sense in the way that a normal teenager would want something extra as a crimefighter since most of his opponents are going to be adults.

Well Dick and Jason fought with there hands and such as robins mostly. Different animated versions of them use it to give the character something more. Teen Titans robin bo staff was a signature part of his character.

@stormshadow_x: yeah but wouldn't make both batman fan from the 60s and the 70s get confuse and also wouldn't that be confusing to change batman origins in comics and put corrupt police in batman comics. I hate year one because look how short batman gauntlets are and he even have no hi tech. Well the animated movie has a great voice. But still why in year one animated movie why dose people have no eyes just lines and dot eyes .
