Why are the Twilight movies underrated?

People say they are the worst movies ever. I can understand saying the first one sucked. After the first one the series really picked up. Also Edward Cullen is really underrated on battle threads. I understand the target audience is teenage girls.

Lol JK I cant really speak on them as I only saw the first one, fell asleep during the second one (No not from boredom I just happened to be tired that night) and didn't watch anymore after that. No disrespect to them though.

That 2pac one is funny. You should give them a chance. They really pick up after the first one.

Tupac is my favorite artist of all time! And yeah im sure I will one day, im not against watching them or anything like that, I only posted those gifs because I like them lol

No..they really are that bad. The only character in the entire franchise that isn't "ugh" worthy is Alice Cullen.

I was hoping I'd never hear that name again.

I don't think "underrated" and "Twilight" should ever be in the same sentence.

I don't like them, but worst movies ever? Come on. (Maybe New Moon holds a place on the 100 worst, but apart from that, can't see any of the others there) And Eclipse was actually GOOD, believe it or not. I mean, if you're looking for the worst movie of all time The Devil Inside is far worse than ALL of the Twilight movies...Combined.

(I want to brutally murder every "genuine viewer/fan" in this trailer. They are responsible for my wasted time, money and brain cells from bashing my head against the wall)

@the_flash_is_too_fast: The story itself is unsalvageable. I don't care how pretty they are, or how good the action might be, the story is utter bullsh*t and thusly I say the movies, as a whole, suck.

If anything I'd say this series is underrated

When it first came out, lots of people were talking about it (negative and positive) and the films have gone on to gross over $3 billion at the box office making it one of the most successful film series, so I guess it doesn't really matter what I say about it

They. Are. Not. Good. Movies. They are made for teenage girls who have a false idea of what romance is. And written by a crazy woman writing her wet dream.

And the verse isn't particularly strong either.

Because they suck. I've never actually watched them but I've never seen a good review from them, and something that mostly teenaged girls like because of a "hot" male actor doesn't really click with me. Maybe I'll give it a chance one day though

Thats one of the biggest reasons why I didn't like it as well.

@jayc1324: I would say give them a chance. They are not great movies like Batman. I wouldn't make plans to watch it but if you see it on tv or something, I would recommend giving it a chance.

I have seen them all. I thought the first two sucked. And the last three were good. The fighting scene in the very last one was awesome.

That is a great fight scene. The movies get better as you go along.

Personally,I don't like the franchise,but that's just me.

I won't condemn someone for liking it,or treat them as if they are a social pariah.

Not only that,but a lot of the hate basically comes from people following what other people do/say. A lot of people have never even seen the movies,yet they hate them. See how that makes sense?
