Who's more popular : Dracula or Darth Vader?
I think Dracula is more iconic but when it comes to popularity probably Vader but it's really close.
Not really sure if this belongs in Gen. Discussion or Off-Topic.

I think Dracula might be more popular or at least more well known.
Even though I like Vader better, I'm going to put my fanboyisms aside and voted for Dracula. All things considered, Dracula is the most famous villian of all time. Well 2nd only to Satan/Lucifer himself (but that includes religion and fiction). Even though Dracula was based upon a real person, he was widly fictionalized. I just can not think of a more popular/well known fictional villian than Count Dracula. He has cereal, kids movies, adult movies, books, etc, etc, etc. But Darth Vader is the most popular movie villian of all time. He just hasn't reached as many different forms of media that Dracula has.
@rustyroy: If you're not really sure perhaps you should leave it to the mods decide, as the first part of your statement contributed nothing of importance to the conversation.
Dracula is the character with the most onscreen incarnations after Sherlock Holmes IIRC...I'd have to go with him, he's probably the villain and he's been around since 1897. Darth Vader's up there though, definitely in the top 10 most iconic villains.

But it felt good to say it out loud.
Dracula, most definitely. In addition to his multiple appearances in all forms of media, I've heard (don't know for certain) that Bram Stoker's Dracula has the rare distinction of being the most widely translated book outside the bible that has never gone out of print.
Dracula, by far.
This.

This.
@kelevrasmashz28: Not true.
Dracula doesn't have an iconic theme song
Vader doesn't have an iconic theme song either...
Dracula is more iconic, but Darth Vader is most certainly more of a household name.

I think more people know about Dracula than Vader.

Everyone and their father know Dracula lol, when you think about Vampires or blood suckers the first person who comes to mind is Dracula. I knew about Dracula long before I knew about Vader, I think outside of US Dracula is more popular.
@rustyroy: Well it makes sense you knew about Dracula first, since he existed WAY before Vader lol.
However, ask an average 25 year old or below, and I guarantee they'll say Vader unless they're into classic Literature.

I'm below 25.... And Dracula is all over the place, you don't need to read classic literature to know about Dracula but you have to be a Star Wars fan to know about Vader.
@kelevrasmashz28: Listen to them, the children of the night! What music they make!
Did Darth Vader fight Westley Snipes? No
Is Darth Vader getting a new movie with cast members of Game Of Thrones? No
Did Darth Vader have a blaxpotation character based on him that spawned another character played by Eddie Murphy? No!
More quotable? Ha! Vader has "Luke I am your father" and "noooo!" Dracula has "Look into my eyes" "I want to drink your blood" "I never drink..wine."
