Who wrote Deadpool the best?

Simple question - who has been the best writer of Deadpool since his creation. Also list some honourable mentions.

Reason behind this thread is that I want to completely dive into one character - namely Deadpool. Just ordered Cable & Deadpool Ult Collection Vol 1.. thoughts on the series?

Also, where can I get Kelly's run on Deadpool in TPB/Hardcover?

@i_like_swords: Cable and Deadpool's pretty good, at least at first. If memory serves me well it kind of teetered out about half way through. But if you're mainly wanting to read Deadpool you should defiantly check out the original series. Here's some amazon links.

The first volume only has one Joe Kelly issue the first issue of Deadpool's solo, and two miniseries. The second one is completely the Kelly Deadpool run (well 2-8 anyway).

@dctv3363: I was actually looking at those two aswell. I figure it's essential reading since it brings you from Deadpools beginning right up to #8 of Kelly's run. Thanks.

Agree! Fabian Nicieza, to me was by far the best deadpool! Yes even better than kellys. Fabian is one of the creators of deadpool, wrote his first several apperances in new mutants & xforce, Deadpools first solo book (circle chase) awesome mini series, and my favorite series of all time bar none Cable and Deadpool!

Joe Kelly. Rick Remender comes in second.
