What villain was the biggest threat to the Justice League in their animated series.

Darkseid

Probably Darkseid.

Darkseid.

#5 Posted by spinningbirdcake (1430 posts) - - Show Bio

Yeah if you watch the last episode in the show it's pretty clear Darkseid commands the most attention.

#6 Edited by ganon15 (1427 posts) - - Show Bio

Not to the world, but to the Justice Leaguers themselves.

Vandal Savage......

Batman...see tower of babel

That's more like it!! After Superman "died" in Hereafter, Savage destroyed the whole world. NO ONE ELSE ever did that. Another shout out goes to Dr. Destiny who would've killed the League in their sleep if not for J'onn and Bats.

The Thanigarians.

#14 Posted by jwalser3 (4796 posts) - - Show Bio

@ganon15: Not that I recall.

@dbatdog: IIRC, Ras was saying how he was able to pull off Bruce's plans because he has better resources. Comparing the Ras legacy to the ocean. While comparing the Wayne legacy to a drop of water.

Just because I have a plan, doesn't mean I can execute it probably.

He meant in the animated series, not the comics.

I haven't watched the show, so I can't say.

Darkseid.

Batman - time and again he demonstrates he can take them down.... Tower of Babel and the new 52 with his super secret boxes

#22 Edited by Husk (371 posts) - - Show Bio

either Lex Luthor, or Amanda Waller.... they almost take the JL down several times

honorable mention to Darkseid, though I don't think he is a Justice League villain, he's a superman villain, or a planet earth villain, the Justice league just get dragged in, during their encounters with him.

Geoff Johns.

#24 Posted by Guardian_of_Gravity (2973 posts) - - Show Bio

@husk: No, Darkseid should never be a Superman villain. Darkseid should be ridiculously above Superman. Darkseid is supposed to be a *NEW GODS* villain. He's a god, no a *king* of gods. No mere kryptonian should be more than a bug to him.

Geoff Johns.

Burn.

If a threat involves the Earth, it freakin' involves the Justice League guys. A threat to the Earth is a threat to the JL. Why is there a distinction being made?

Darkseid, in the Timmverse, anyways, was more of a Superman villain. I'd vote the Thanagarians. I mean, they did take over Earth on their watch.

#26 Posted by TheTrueBarryAllen (4286 posts) - - Show Bio

Since it's talking about the animated series it'd either be Darkseid or the Thanagarians.

Man, I miss that show.

#27 Posted by RustyRoy (10903 posts) - - Show Bio

Darkseid, Luthor-Brainiac, Savage, Thanagarians etc.

In the animated series?

Opps my bad, that would be Darkseid

#34 Posted by lightsout (1822 posts) - - Show Bio

Man, people really like jumping to their opinion before reading any posts, let alone the OP. (Though I partially blame the ridiculous character limit on topic titles. If it was bigger the OP could have fit "animated series" in there).

Ganon15 makes a good argument for a non-Darkseid answer

#35 Posted by russellmania77 (14561 posts) - - Show Bio

AMAZO

#36 Posted by ganon15 (1427 posts) - - Show Bio

@lightsout: True. Yeah, Darkseid didn't come close to wiping out the Justice League like Brainiac/Luthor or Vandal Savage did.

#37 Posted by cattlebattle (12579 posts) - - Show Bio

Definitely Lexiac or AMAZO. The former decimated them, and they had now way of defeating the latter.

#39 Posted by NeonPheonix (649 posts) - - Show Bio

Low Ratings and Lex Luthor, he organized/ was involved with just about every injustice gang on the show.

Darkseid.

#42 Posted by ganon15 (1427 posts) - - Show Bio

No one mentions Doctor Destiny.....

#43 Posted by FrankenKong (234 posts) - - Show Bio

@battle_forum_junkie: I know he meant in the show bro...but you try to find a more epic picture to represent my answer.

#44 Posted by Guardiandevil83 (5280 posts) - - Show Bio

I always thought if not Darkseid, then Despero, Mongul or Starro. They kinda made Amazo a jobber but he gets an Honorable mention. So does Lex and Savage as mentioned above.

Nope. You win, dude.

Darkseid

#48 Posted by ganon15 (1427 posts) - - Show Bio

Why does everyone keep saying Darkseid??? He didn't come close to destroying the League like plenty of others have.
