Kind of. Thanos was a pretty big figure in Mar-Vell's relatively short but excellent career. He had other villains like Nitro and Yon-Rogg, but in terms of notoriety as well as personal enmity, Thanos was Mar-Vell's Big Bad. This is mainly because Marvel handed Mar-Vell's title over to Starlin to revamp the character and boost sales.
