Ideally Clint Eastwood or Darren Afronsky
Who Should Direct the Next Batman?
Hopefully someone who is 8 years old right now will direct the next Batman movie. Making a another movie in the next 15 years would disrespect Nolans films.
Michael Bay......... totally just kidding and if if happens I will take the beating I deserve for suggesting it
Joe Johnston, he did a great job with Captain America, and I think he could pull off a more unrealistic/comic book Batman movie.
Director - Brad Bird
Producer - Bruce Timm
Writer - Paul Dini and Alan Burnett
Heck, throw in Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos as the storyboard artists too.
Oh, I was gonna say Aronofski, but Eastwood? That's a movie I'd love to see, lol.
Hm... I want someone who's not afraid to dive into the more fantastic part of Gotham. I want some Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Robin, and all that other stuff.
Director - Joel Schumacher
Producer - Wayans Brothers
Writer - George Lucas
Creative consultant - Michael Bay
EPIC!

Good.
But seriously, we need a director who can actually do a proper comic book adaptation with all that Batman deserves. Someone who can put the good from Burton, the good from Nolan and then create something on it's own with some imaginative input that makes it the Batman we all want to see and the Batman who can totally exist in the same world as Superman, Flash, Aquamn or Wondie

Everyone here wants Batman to be directed by M Night Shyamalan.
You know it to be true.
Batman's father didn't die he became the Joker....and also the president of Canada
He directed the two Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movies. If you combine the frantic, intellectual plots with the stop/start action sequences that he has mastered, I think you'll have a winner.

Brad Bird YES.
I love Brad Bird's films but I don't think he could make a Batman film. Since Brad Bird and Andrew Stanton have made the leap from animation I'd like to think Bruce Timm or Joaquim Dos Santos could too. As for Lauren Montgomery I'd rather have her do Wonder Woman. She was the director on the animated Wonder Woman movie and that was great.

joss wheadon only he can pull off a properly toned batman movie that can also be a lead in for a jla movie.
I agree on Whedon, though, I can see Tim Minear (Who worked close with Whedon on Angel and Firefly, and a bit on Dollhouse, also works on American Horror Story and a bunch of other shows now) doing an outstanding job as he's a brilliant writer and good director. Perhaps a team of Tim Minear (writing) and Drew Goddard (directing).
