Who Should Be The Villain In The Wonder Woman Movie?

Ares is the obvious choise for the first movie, but he could be a sort of cliché.

I would hope not Ares, they'd just make him into a jobber in the end or come up with some absurd plot reason for him losing...much like in the comics. I think Cheetah or Circe would be more fitting.

First Born would be really cool.

I lean toward Ares, if it does become a trilogy I would use First Born last.

The middle I would use Circe and Cheetah.

Id like Circe as the villain, but I have a feeling its going to be Ares. I think Cheetah would be great as a secondary villain that helps assist the main villain and is mainly there to fight Wonder Woman. Giganta might be cool in a Batman cold open where Giganta is destorying a city and she beats her with her lasso.

I've always wanted to see Granny Goodness and the Female Furies added to her rogues gallery, which would also serve to introduce the New Gods into the DC Cinematic Universe.

I'm going to take the road less traveled and say Cheetah: Ideally, one would want to ramp up the stakes of a series as it goes on. This threat is more dangerous than this threat, and so on. So you want to start with someone whose a challenge, but have room to grow. Thus, Cheetah. Dangerous, certainly. But she's not a god. Could make the plot something like Cheetah's hunting Diana or one of Diana's friends. Maybe give Cheetah a connection to Artemis, whose using Cheetah to test Diana. Make that a gateway directly into the pantheon stuff. Set up that the pantheon is testing Diana to see if she has the mettle to weather some great challenge ahead of her. At most, toss in Circe to lend Cheetah a helping hand.

Save Ares for a later movie, once she's got a couple notches on her sword.
