My personal favorite is Venom! He always has been, ever since I was about 5 or 6 years old (I'm going on 19 now). Not only does he look totally awesome, but he's been described a couple times as Spider-Man's "evil twin", and I love his reason wanting to hinder Spider-Man: revenge. To me, Venom is just by far the best Spider-Man villain (and the best villain of all time in general, but we'll save that for another time). Side note: as much I love Flash Thompson as Venom, I do prefer Eddie Brock! But I wanna know: who's your favorite?!
Who is your most favorite Spider-Man villain of all time?
Green Goblin. He's just been a great foil for Peter over the years. Norman Osborne is a real threat that has even taken on the Avengers.
Other top favorites are Lizard, Kraven, Venom, and Doc Ock.
@granitesoldier Green Goblin and Kraven are also a couple of my favorites! Another favorite is Electro, as well as the Sin-Eater (even though he didn't last very long)

@cloakx14 Carnage is a VERY close 2nd on my list! Right under Eddie Brock as Venom
Green Goblin..by a long shot. Doc Ock is good, but I despise how Slott tried to make him the number one Spidery-Villain. That'd be like someone trying to make Two-Face or Penguin Batman's number one villain. Venom is good but no one has caused Peter more strife or heartache than Norman Osborne.
@manwhohaseverything: There was a time when Doc Ock was Spidey's archenemy.
Stan even considers him to be.
Beata
Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus.
Honor mentions: While not necessarily my 3rd favorite, I also have a soft spot for Morlun, don't even know exactly why. He's just cool. Tho Spider Verse kinda changed that, 'cause half the reason he appealed to me was the mystery.
Same goes for Shatra. And she really pushed Spidey even tho she only appeared once, being a big challenge both physically and mentally.
Spider-Queen was always cool to me, I was really glad she came back and had a big role in Spider-Island. Female and powerful? Hell yeah, Spidey needs more of those.
It would have to be one of the Hobgoblin's I think, Kingsley or Urich.
For me Norman Osborn just represents everything that is bad about American Comics.
How much time you got? Ok, I guess I'll narrow it down to a top five.
Venom (Brock) This guy has been a personal favorite for years. Why? Because he's just badass that's why.
Dr Octopus Part of the reason Slott did the whole Superior Spider-Man thing is because he wanted to eventually write a war between Norman and Otto. And taking Pete's life seemed like a great bragging right. I'll get to talking more about this.
Rhino: I don't care what anyone says, I love the big idiot. Sure he's been beaten up by Cap and embarrassed by Luke Cage, but at his best he can trade punches (At least for a while) with Ben Grimm, Joe Fix it, and Doc Samson to name a few. That's no short order.
Tombstone: Due to nostalgia really. At one time Lonnie was a beast. One of the few baddies in Spidey's rogues gallery that could mix it up with him with simple physicals and badass street brawling.
Was Sad when Luke made him his bitch though.
This is where it gets tricky. I mean I have three that I want here. Lizard, Kraven, Morbius. But, I'm going to place...
Green Goblin: There is no doubt that Norman is Parkers greatest foil. I mean this dude has taken so much from Peter it's not even funny. Hell, Norman was going to originally take Peter's body and be the SS but, at the time was unable to be used.
All of that was set to lead to a battle between to Doc Ock and Gobey simply to answer a question Dan knew we wanted to know.
Who's Peter's greatest rival? Given their respective track records and the negative impact both have had on Peter's life, I think we all know the answer. Hell, Octavius actually made Pete's life better in a lot of ways. Lol
Venom (eddie brock)
