Who is your favourite Bender? (ATLA and LOK)

It feels kinda dumb to say but I liked Zuko in the first series; mostly due to the intense character development he got. Plus the gaang needed a straight man considering how goofy they all are (I mean, even serious Sokka is a total doofus). Also the entire Dancing Dragon style is just the coolest type of bending in my mind (which is a big thing for me because I usually love Ice or Air characters).

I'm waiting for Korra to finish so I can marathon it but I have seen Season 1, and from that I guess I liked Mako but I haven't really seen enough to make a full opinion.

I liked Zuko. Unlike most of the others in ATLA, he didn't have the advantage of being a prodigy, but that didn't stop him from working hard and training to reach their level. I think his defining moment was when he decided to join the Gaang and got the better of his father via lightning redirection, and when he learned from the dragons

I also like Huu. He has a really cool style of bending (plant bending), is a great fighter, and has a kind of redneck Uncle Iroh vibe that I enjoy. I just wish we had gotten to see more of him

From the first series it would have to be Iroh. I felt he was the most well rounded of all the fire benders in the series. He was always cool, calm and collected in his battles and I he was beastly when the comet came.

For the second series I would have to go with Avatar Wan. Seeing be the first ever human to fully master fire bending and learning the dancing dragon technique was a good call back to the first series.

@humanrocket: Yes, Wan is amazing, forgot about him but I loved his story

I also liked the new air benders from LOK, seeing them come together to fight the bison rustlers and later Zaheer gave me chills

From the first series it would have to be Toph. I didn't much care for LoK too much though, so I don't know enough to have a favorite
