@billy_batson: Isn't he as much as a DC character as characters from Wildstorm, and everyone is picking them. Well my other answer would be Mark Grayson.

Wildstorm characters were Image characters before DC bough Wildstorm but The Sandman has always been set in the DCU even if it's in its own corner for most of the time :P
