Who is your favorite "lesser" known character?

What I mean by this is, characters that if you brought up in a coversation with someone that didn't know comics too well, they wouldn't have any idea who you were talking about. Just about everyone has heard of Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and the like but I'm talking about the The lesser known characters like X-23, Ben Riley, Durge, Graviton, Luther Strode, Cloak & Dagger, Grifter, Plutonian and the like.

Who is your favorite "lesser" known character?

Kind of lame they gave Black Widow and Hawkeye some love, but no Black Panther. Not even a mention...

He's not lesser known in this context. His popularity isn't that much worse than Green Lantern, when measured for mainstream.

@lukehero: @dagmar_merrill: I wouldn't really say he's well known. Granted, he has rumors of a movie, but if you mentioned his name to a comic fan they'd more likely think of the political group rather than the comic character.

Top Cow characters in general, Aspen Matthews, Vampirella, Madame Mirage...and quite a few more.

@cloakx14: Luke Cage isn't an unknown among comicbook fans, now if you are saying with average person, then yes. But, if we are going by average person? Then average person doesn't even give a damn about GL or even know who he is.

Average Comic fan, knows who Black Panther is. When I think of lesser known at least in the context of this thread, is some like like The Question or Bloodshot something like that. Someone like Anti Venom or Syrin.

@keenko: Why is the Falcon on your list? I would think after Cap 2 people would be pretty familiar with him. I think the Falcon is someone who they would know now.

@lukehero: Because before that he was pretty unknown and even now if you ask the average Joe about him they might say, "that black guy with wings?"

He isn't as unknown as others, but I'd still say he's lesser known, those were just some that came to mind.
