anyone but ted kord, he is too overrated, and everytime I see someone complain he's dead I like him less (that happens A LOT, so I am constantly liking him less)

@husk: So, the poster boy for B-List heroes is "over"rated? Dislike him all day, but how in the any universe is he overrated? Give me one verifiable example?

is this very thread verifable enough? even just the results, and than we have the "Ted Kord should be the only one anyone ever votes for" line, that you agreed too even though people are voting for others...

this kind of fanaticism is even more out of place since Ted Kord died a decade ago, and was all but missing from comics for more than a decade before that, when he retitred from crimefighting. yes I liked him a little bit, but as you said yourself, he's a B-Lister.... with a MASSIVE fanatical fan base.

I might as well complain that Cortez is no longer in X-men enough.

@husk: I did not think that this thread was anything more than fun. I just think it funny that Ted Kord would be called overrated. I mean if he did have a MASSIVE fanatical fan base he would have his own book. A character cannot be a B-Lister and be an overrated. They can't be a B-Lister and have a MASSIVE fanatical fan base. Those are oxymorons.

it is a fun thread, I like it, just makes me hate Ted Kord more. I meant to have said MASSIVELY fanatical fanbase. but the other makes sense to me as well.

the people who care, care Waaayy too much, besides he has more of a fan base than the other beetles, as proven by the poll results. and you can be a B-lister and have a massive fanatical fan base besides, look at all the cult films out there, some of them aren't even B-movies, they might even be C-movies, but those are generally loved for a different reason (be it, because its so bad, or because people think off putting, and bad acting is good are usually the top two, neither of which apply to Ted Kord, I only mention that cause I did not say it as an insult and didn't want it to come off that way)

I like Jaime a lot, but Ted is the number one Beetle for me.

(Since DC has 39582 Green Lanterns from Earth, we can have two Blue Beetles as well)

I agree. I would have loved to see Ted as a mentor to Jaime like Batman was to Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond. That would have been perfect because you have a new Blue Beetle and still have the relationship with Booster. Booster is almost half a hero without Ted. ...Almost.

I feel a little sad that no one voted the original.
