Before MCU Spider-man after MCU Iron Man. At least general public wise. I mean Iron Man 3 did make a billion dollars.

As of right now Spidey isn't that popular, but he was the most popular character a while ago. Superman was the head of DC, and Spider-Man was the head of Marvel.
