- As the title says who do you think is the bravest superhero?

- My opinions are Batman and Thor

Batman is. Hands down.

Batman and Superman

I'd have to say Batman. He's 100% human and he usually doesn't wear a bullet proof vest when he goes out (at least not that I know of). On top of that, he puts his trust completely in a grappling hook when climbing tall buildings. He jumps right into the action when needed and is never afraid to take risks.

It's a long list of equals. Most Superheros are willing to lay down their lives against an unbeatable opponent just to save a single person.

Captain America. Batman and Superman are second. My reasoning being, both Batman and Superman are indeed willing to lay down their lives - but those are the only lives they're willing to risk. Batman and Superman are afraid to kill, Captain America has been known to rebuke that rule when the situation calls for it.

Can you even imagine how much better Gotham would be if Batman just snapped Joker's neck? But he can't. Steve Rogers could.

Batman and any other normal human

have to say batman. just cause he has no powers to give him an advantage that all other heroes have. Batman FTW

I forgot to say why I choose Thor. He gave his life several times for greater good. He even sacrificed both eyes and hanged 9 days till he died to gain wisdom and runes and he wasn't sure he that he wil gain them. He went against Serpent despite knowing he cannot survive that battle. He isn't afraid to face Thanos, Ego, Serpent, Silver Surfer, Galactus he even goes against his father Odin himself. He said also that he is willing to give more than his life for Sif.

The Flash (Barry Allen). Not only was he brave enough to go all out and sacrifice his life against Anti-Monitor, but he was brave enough to defy comic book cliches and stay dead for over twenty years.

Balder the Brave.

Well, maybe Batman, or Vic Sage, I don't know, heroes without powers tend to do the bravest things.

Cap, Superman, Thor, Batman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Aquaman etc.. For me these characters (and many more beside them) deserve to be nominated because of the extent of bravery they show in standing up for their beliefs and doing the right thing, regardless who the opposition is or how powerful he/she is.

Robin the boy wonder . hes just a 10 year old kid and he goes out fighting nutjobs at night. you really have to be brave for that.

Batman, he's a man and he faces aliens, monsters, and psychopaths on a daily basis. He stood in front of a god and refused to back down, ultimately winning in the end. I don't think it gets more brave than that.

This. There aren't many cowardly superheroes and the ones that are typically written that way to set up a character evolution.

There's a difference between being brave and being a borderline psychotic. Damian Wayne is not the most stable of youths.

@Shawnbaby: your right, but what about the other robins. they started out at a young age and there not crazy. i still say the robins in general are the bravest.

Captain America will always be the bravest man in comics.

One could also say that they were all indoctrinated at a young age. Also, they are children...they don't fully grasp the meaning of mortality. Jason Todd as Robin wasn't so much brave as he was Reckless...and that recklessness cost him his life.

At any rate...my original point still stands. Anyone willing to go up against unbeatable odds to protect a stranger is the pinnacle of bravery...And most superheros do exactly that on a regular basis.
