I know DC and Marvel have all the classic characters we know and love, but I reckon indie comics have a lot of talented people working on them and some high quality work and 3-dimensional characters are produced. So which one is best?
Who is the best Indie comics character?
Well, in terms of popularity? The Darkness is pretty up there, as is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Witchblade, and others. In the '90s, everyone sucked the great necrotic c*ck of Spawn as if he were the new Jesus, but now a days we all know better and generally stay away from that assclown. But, in terms of actual strength? Like, who would win in a fight? I gotta go with maybe the Tick, or Spawn, or maybe Savage Dragon, or maybe even some character that I don't even know about because he's so underground. Like, what is "best" to you, Sketchtor?

I'll beat up anyone who says otherwise.

I don't mean best as in "who would win in a fight" best. I mean like the development of the character. Power has nothing to do with it.

I already told you...
Gottheit says:
"Development of character, I seriously wanna say The Darkness. I mean, everything about it is entertaining. I'm not saying the Goon, simply because I haven't read any of that comic, only a small part. Hellboy's pretty cool, though...always like what I read there..."Pancakes.""
I haven't read any of the Darkness, although it has caught my eye more and more of late, and it looks good. Hellboy is great, The Island is one of my favourites. The Goon is wicked awesome, and hilarious to boot.
Yeah, the two scenes I read were great. One was them encountering an Anne Rice, total emo-style vampire, then they beat the sh*t out of him and strap him to a car and set him ablaze. The other is in the beginning, Goon and his sidekick in a classy restaraunt, the waiter tries to feed the sidekick sushi, where the sidekick busts open a bottle and threatens the waiter, completely not understanding the nature of sushi. And the Goon, instead of, like, trying to break up the fight or lecturing his sidekick on proper behavior of whatever, says the greatest line ever. "You learn 'im good, Frankie!" I mean...that just says it all about the comic.

It's all like that. I get a few issues every now and again. I have about 12. There's a crossover with Hellboy which is cool. My favourite line is
" There's a werewolf and a giant robot destroying my zombies!! Release the great zombie chimp!"
No surprise here, but I'm a huge Drizzt Do'urden fan. Devil's Due puts out some fantastic work:
Drizzt's faithful friend Guenhwyvar:
But don't forget Red Sonja, also from Devil's Due:
I also really miss CrossGen Comics. I wish they would at least come back long enough to finish the Negation War story arc:

"G-Man says:"For me it's all about Madman." />http://image.comicvine.com/uploads/item/7000/6704/33197-madman_400.jpg"
Yeah I hear good things about Madman."
I liked it so much I got his logo tattooed on my arm. Also just check out anything that Mike Allred does. He's done some work for Marvel in the past, most recently the X-Force/X-Statix run. He's also done some of the "Solo" books for DC. His art is kinda retro and his wife's colors are phenomenal.
Drizzt Do'Urden. He has great graphic novels and great regular novels.
I also like The Sire.
I don't read too much indie.
