To me its Mr. sinister because you only hear of him when something big is going to happen like the Messiah Complex and when he created Nate Grey. Also he outsmarted Apocalypse. No one ever knows his angle when he does his thing.

I thought about doom too but don't always have back ups because it seems he doesn't anticipate all the possibilities when he goes against the fantastic 4. I f he wasn't egocentric and surround himself with a well put together team he I would considered him before Sinister.

Spiderben please shut up lol you only know about spiderman and his villains. As for my opinion i have to agree with thanos lol who else destroyed the universe?

I do agree for what he is trying to do he is one of the best. But if you want large scale I would say Dr. Doom.

Lol not to many dc people do much but i give it to darkseid because his mind is more powerful then his beams. Then joker because what he did to the imp lol and turned all heros bad lol.

I never really read anthing about him so I can't really say. But I've read about Thanos, Doom and Kang in some Avengers issues I have.

isn't it the question most devious i.e. conniving, deceitful under handed planner?

I would say Sinister.

He's scheme's are usually so twisted and manipulative and the lengths he will go to and the ones he employees and how he does it in effort to get whatever it is that he wants done.

He also always has his own angle within an angle and the ever present plan B.

This man to me is the most devious planner the one person who could have run interference and until recent had forced him to be more subtle was Apoc and he isn't around to stop him.

Thou Darkseid is also worth mentioning Doom however seems to lack the ability to adapt in some situations but I could be wrong since I am not really big on the guy.

oh and I forgot Prof X, who has more than his fair share of questionable tacts

On a side note is Thanos really dead?
