Poll Who is more heroic? (27 votes)
Who would you rather have patrolling your town from a purely heroic standpoint?

Heh, I like Daredevil more, but I think they are equally heroic. Both have an extreme what to bring justice and order to their respective areas of operation. Matt does not have anywhere near the resources Bruce has in his mission against crime, so some might view him as being more heroic due to trying just as hard as Bruce, but not having the means to do so without disrupting his life so greatly, but trying to create change is a heroic act within itself even if you are a wealthy person, so I don't think a difference in resources makes Matt more heroic than Bruce.
@peppeyhare: Agreed.
Part if me wants to say Daredevil because I feel like he looks out for the little guy more but Bruce does the same thing just on a larger scale. That being said I haven't read too terribly much about either character. The heart if the question is who sacrifices more? Because what is a hero other than someone who sacrifices something or multiple things for the good of others?
Daredevil, Batman would scare me with all the crazies he brings to down.
Well, all superheroes always tend to attract the attention of thugs and crazies with their acitivities. Lol
Eh I disagree. I think DD is one of the most creative and amazing characters in comics. I think they're equally amazing characters. When I'm writing my own characters I think to myself: "man I wish if come up with Matt Murdock myself"
Batman is a vastly superior character, but they're equally heroic.
Naw bruh! :D

@wolverine08: ha!
Bat's. I should do some more reading on Daredevil though. Any recommendations?
Check out Brian Michael Bendis' Daredevil run. Phenomenal stuff.
Who is more heroic, I'd go Daredevil by a bit, who would I rather have protecting my city, Batman by a lot.

Mkay.
@wolverine08: I thought you said that Batman was your second favorite character behind Wolverine?
@sog7dc: Meh, personal preference. DD is actually my favorite Marvel character, though.
@rulerofthisuniverse: He's dropped a bit since. Daredevil is my second favorite character now after reading Brian Michael Bendis' Daredevil run (You should check it out) :D I still like Batman though. Both are pretty awesome and layered characters to me.
@wolverine08: BATMAN IS SUPERIOR!!! SUPERIOR, I TELL YOU!!!
As for BMB's DD, I would but money (the cheapest you can get it is for $90 for the three collection volumes on Comixology...so...yeah).
@rulerofthisuniverse: No you fool! THE MAN IN THE DEVIL COSTUME IS SUPERIOR IN ALL QUALITIES! A COMPLETE BADASS!
You got to start hustling for money bro :D
@wolverine08: Nevermind, I just found it on the Internet. Usually I'd feel really guilty about that...but not when it's $90 otherwise. I'll start reading it tomorrow.

Good job my fellow geek! You deserve the highest of fives!
@wolverine08: *high-five*
It's times like these that I wish I could post gifs on my iPad...
Also, I think I'm gonna read DD: Yellow, just because I love the creative team.
@rulerofthisuniverse: Daredevil Yellow was a pretty awesome look back at Matt's early years as Daredevil. It was back when Jeph Loeb was still a pretty awesome writer. You'll like it.
@wolverine08: Cool, I'll check it out. And I refuse to believe that Jeph Loeb ever wrote a bad comic. One day I'll read Ultimates 3 and I'll prove everyone wrong! It has to be...misunderstood, or...something.... *sob*
There's also something on the site called DD: The Man Without Fear. How's that?

Read The man without fear, its amazing. Also all the daredevil stories you can imagine are all on that certain website....

Don't read Ultimates 3! It'l change you! You won't be the same person!
And yes, check out The Man Without Fear by Frank Miller. It is an incredible story of Daredevil's origin from a child to superhero. It was back before Miller lost it. Lol.
@allstarsuperman: Cool, thanks.
And how did Batman 'let his parents die?' What was he supposed to do when his parents were being mugged? He was like 10 and the guy had a gun...
@allstarsuperman: How was a small child supposed to stop an armed thug? Lol
@wolverine08: Oh it's Miller? Cool. But I don't think Frank ever really "had it" in the first place...
@allstarsuperman: How was a small child supposed to stop an armed thug? Lol
BECAUSE HE'S BATMAN!

Wolverine knows whats up. If Bruce was a real hero, he would have been prepped for anything
Wow normally I would say batman but the cool thing about daredevil is he can hear any crime in progress within a few blocks. Really they are about equal but since this would be my neighborhood I would want daredevil since I wouldn't want all the kids getting scared from batman or jets or something kinda overkill. Daredevil I think is equal in heroicness and ability he excells in stopping normal crime over batman( capable bullet dodger, easier hearing of crime) I would want batman to take down metas but I feel like daredevil can deal with the crooks and rapists easier
Batman helps to protect the entire world on a regular basis Daredevil doesn't.
Protecting more people doesn't make you more heroic. Bruce just has the resources to work on a wider scale. Matt puts his heart and soul into protecting and improving Hell's Kitchen.
@immortal777: That doesn't make him more heroic
