Who is more able to take down superman?

Does Batman have all of his preparation/plans and strategies against Superman, or is it a momentary thing?

@eternalnature: You serious? I dont see any Governments Military stopping Clark if that makes you feel better. Only thing bringing the Army near the same footing are nukes, and it would probably require three more countries to retire their entire arsenal as well. I aint voting for Bruce either.

I think you're overestimating the real world miltary's use of Nukes. Superman is the fastest thing in the universe and is a very small target. Furthermore, he lives and spends most of his time in the US. Are we going to nuke our own country? Assuming Metropolis = New York. Are we going to sacrifice our biggest city and millions of lives to attempt to hit Superman? Maybe it takes only 1 hit to finish him, but 1 miss and we kill millions.

How? What does the US military have to stop him? If Superman from the comics was to appear in real life able to do every reality defying thing he can on panel the US military would be devastated. Target the leadership first and foremost to send shocks through the ranks then start executing attacks on the core ranks to crush moral and send fear through out. I'm not sure about New 52 Superman but Pre-New 52 took a nuclear blast unscathed and even planet busting attacks.

Real life military would stand greater chance, fictional military would not. Militaries and police forces in comic books are often ridiculously incompetent.

Which is something I always found weird. They have super geniuses to recruit like Reed or Lex but still lose in an embarrassing way. Hulk would of been caught decades ago if the army wasn't so stupid or jobbed too much.

Batman is always prepared and has the whole teams weaknesses in his residential abode so he would stand a better off chance than the army

If it was a Marvel universe? Then yes, apparently America is more than willing to Nuke it's own cities on the off-chance it will help.

How does Batman stop Superman without prep? He'd be dead before he'd whipped out his kryptonite from his bat belt, assuming that's how he does it.

@bezza: There isn't traditional prep. Meaning batman hasn't been sitting down planning this particular attack fr years but there is some preparation. Bruce isn't just driving up to superman like he would two face. Ya know? He knows who he is facing
