Personally I like the Secret Six more than any "anti Hero" Marvel dishes out, so I voted DC out of favoritism..and let's be honest, that's what most of these polls boil down to.

Marvel. I agree that Punisher is by far the quintessential anti-hero of them all. Wolvie, Ghost Rider, Deadpool, Moon Knight, Taskmaster, Bucky, Venom and Kaine just to name a few.

I have no idea what the actual numbers are, but it seems like Marvel has the more quintessential anti-heroes.

i feel like marvel has more anti-heroes while dc has more villains that became anti-heroes apparently.

DC's anti-heroes seem to fly under the radar more while Marvel is more like "Hey here they are!!".

I'd say Marvel has more well known anti-heroes. Punisher, Logan and Elektra at the top of the list.

Define Anti-hero. Do you mean a villain that's the protagonist, or a strait up hero that lacks hero qualities? (an example of the first would be Walter White or Michael Corleone, and the second would be Punisher and Cyclops)

They are about even in my book. Although I see some listed I would consider flat-out villains, not anti-heroes.

Bane? He's worked with Batman a handful (I can count it on one hand) of times, but he's a villain not an anti-hero.

Taskmaster? I don't recall any heroing from him.

Deadshot? Lobo? Deathstroke I can maybe see. But a lot of those listed seem like villains to me.

Unless, of course, someone knows something I don't. Which by all means share, I am just judging based on my own knowledge.

Lobo is the deadpool before deadpool but in space so yeah hes an anti here

Deadshot works for the suicide squad who is basically still a villain but he hased to be hero for the the government including kill

Well i suggest you google him or google his comicvine page but for starters he is a regular human but he has IMO one of the most interesting powers: photographic reflexes (anything he sees done he can mimic perfectly as long as it was done with no superhuman speed and/or strength). I'm a bit busy now so that's why i just suggest google.

Daredevil, Black Panther, Thor, Iron Man, Cyclops, Black Bolt, The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, etc. Too many to list really. Marvel just has a few more anti heroes than DC.

Also Guy Gardner, Grifter, and Black Spider for DC.

Marvel. Marvel may put out that kind friendly kinda crap with Lego marvel super heroes and stuff like that. But most of the actual characters of marvel are if not anti heroes at least killed someone at least once. Punisher , Moonknight, Wolverine, Magneto ( Depending on version) Hulk, Black Widow, The Gamma corps, Blade, Hannibal King, werewolf by night, Ghost Rider, Conan the Barbarian and many more. If DC even has more marvel puts out their anti heroes with more favor oh yea and deadpool

Well since the new 52 DC has had so many characters turn antihero so I guess you have to go with them.

Marvel made the anti-hero popular with the likes of:

2. Wolverine
3. Elektra
4. Hulk (the savage version)

However, DC has it's fair share of anti-heroes:

2. Secret Six/Suicide Squad
3. Jason Todd
4. John Constantine

DC, easily. Remember the question is "more"...not "better" The Punisher, no matter how "anti-hero" he is, still only counts as one.

@austinbox76: to be honest marvel is much more known for their anti heroes. And I love DC but marvels anti heroes were anti heroes to begin with. Ever heard of the MAX series ? Marvel is a hell of a lot more supportive of our criminal killing heroes in comics and they have been making them longer

I lean toward Marvel but this really depends on your parameters for "anti-hero". It also depends on how prominent a character has to be to count in your reckoning.
