Who has the cooler magic characters?
Who has better Magic Characters Marvel or DC.
Okay... before i answer, what kind of characters are we talking here? Characters who use magic as a weapon like Doctor Fate, Zatanna and Doctor Strange or are we talking characters empowered by magic like Captain Marvel... hrhmm Shazam, Thor and Black Adam or... are we talking both??
Marvel has extradimensional magiks and innerdimension magic. DC only has innerdimension so Marvel has the edge here.

The source doesn't count as extradimensional magic or the spectre, pandora, the phandom Stranger this guys are not affected by crisis or tme changes!
That depends:
If we're talking straight up magicians, Marvel wins for me because of Dr. Stephen Strange.
If we're including gods and all that stuff, DC's got the win because of Captain Marvel and Spectre.
I've always preferred characters like Doctor Fate, Zatanna, Constantine, Shazam, Mordru, the Spectre, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Trigon, etc.
DC but DC fails at focusing on them instead giving us fifteen batman books and eight Superman books.Seriously when was the last time you saw Satanaus , Eclipso or even Simon Dark? How about Ragman?
Actually using their great characters like Mephisto and Blackheart make me vote Marvel over DC.
Granted they did try with JL Dark but I read the first five issues and got bored.
I mean Marvel allowed one of their magic users to stop the creation of new mutants ( A pretty huge event) , DC allows it's magic users to hang out with Batman and Superman.

I really agree with this. DC rarely focuses on other sides of their universe that isn't Superman/Batman/Green Lantern-related.
BTW, you should check out JLD 9. Jeff Lemire took over and the book has been awesome so far.

Good point.
Marvel for magic users and DC for magic powered. I go with DC on both if we saw more Zatanna. She's probably a tough character to write.

DC made Reign in Hell. Was that overlooked? Kinda had DC's who's who of magic.

A horribly advertised miniseries that barely affected the main universe? Sure, why not
DC because of:
- Black Adam
- Captain Marvel/Shazam
- John Constantine
- Doctor Fate
- Spectre
- Phantom Stranger
- Morpheus
- Zatanna
- Deadman
- Shade
- Ragman
- Swamp Thing
- Animal Man
- Blue Devil
- Kid Devil
- Raven
- Trigon
- Simon Dark
- Andrew Bennett
The only magical Marvel characters I've ever really liked are Doctor Strange, Doctor Voodoo, Doctor Doom, Dan Ketch, and Johnny Blaze.

Are counting Thor and Asgardian themed stuff as magic?
Good question! That would tip the scales for me.
