Jay Garrick the original Flash. He always seemed more interesting and is great guy. He was a fatherly figure to Bart and was always full of moral support. After all the civilians look to the Justice League and Teen Titans, but they look up to the JSA.
@Stormbox: Lol. I read a couple of Flash issues featuring Wally after watching the JLU cartoon.
I guess that is why I like him the most. But this Flash ongoing is quite good as well, and while it is a motherloving shame that DC scrapped Wally for practically no reason, I am not going to say I enjoy this one less, or that I like Barry less simply because he's not Wally.
Like Green Lantern, Flash is a mantle held by multiple characters who each have a right to the name based on their own accomplishments. All of them are the Flash.
For the next round of reboots, all Warner Brothers needs is one Flash and this can be anybody. Right now, the Flash is marketed in all media as Barry to avoid confusing the consumers. I don't believe kid sidekicks are needed since the kid sidekick concept is already obsolete. Jay and Wally can be used as supporting characters who have super speed but are not active super heroes. The newer trend is for super heroes not to have silly code names. I hope dc will reboot most of the golden agers into the main earth bec. earth 2 is not relevant. I also prefer the Crime Syndicate speedster to be on the main earth so he can fight Barry more often same as Zoom. In the Batman mythology, we now have an Owlman on the main earth.
