Just wanted to see your guys opinions on this.
For me, it would be wolverine because he's been through a lot more than cap and has still managed to stay a good guy/sane.

What these threads ultimately end up boiling down to is which character each person prefers...
I will say that both Cap and Wolverine deserve respect. They've both been through a a lot - Cap having been through a terrible war, everyone and everything he's even known or loved gets taken away from him.
But Wolvie has definitely been a lot more completely screwed up things than Cap, but he's never really been much of a "nice guy" until recent years when Marvel started making him a bit more... family-friendly...
Ultimately I think they both deserve respect, but for different reasons.
I say Cap for the same reason the OP gave for Wolverine. Not saying Wolverine doesn't deserve respect just that the crap that Cap has gone through would turn most people into cynical dicks but Cap has endured and kept his spirit intact.
Captain America.
Too many people didn't know that he's not a patriotic moron based on general assumption. As much as I agree with ADHD's Captain America Statistics' main message, I feel that it kinda become stale on using Cap as an idiot since Cap's personality is much more complex than a dude with American flag.
He detested blind patriotism, act as an inspiration rather than as a country's symbol, willing to stand for his beliefs against oppressive government (you want Cap fighting Corporate elites? See no further than Marvel Civil War against Tony Stark's fascists and Siege storyline against Norman Osborn).
"Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right.
This nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences.
When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree besides the river of truth, and tell the whole world--
--No you move."
Probably Captain America and I don't think Logan would disagree. Although I personally like Wolverine more, bub.
@sprior93: You like hairy guys dont you
I like Wolverine and I'm inclined to say him, mostly due to favoritism. But in all honesty, Captain America has done a lot more heroic deeds. Wolverine is more of an anti-hero rather than someone who fights for justice and the people.
@lettsplay10: yeah :)
