Who do you think deserves a solo but hasn't got one??? This applies to both Marvel and DC.

The ones that I think might stand a chance....
Wonder Woman is by far the best. Rich origin with alot of potential there. Intriguing villains, and a mainstream character.
After that, I'd say Silver Surfer could make a good solo movie in the right hands...but nobody will ever do it.
Flash might, but I've never cared much for the character, and his rogues are pretty sub par.
@awesomeperson: Are you referring to books or movies?
@mrnoital: He actually had one when the Marvel Now started. It didn't sell very well, though. It ended up being cancelled after issue 17.
Movie: Wonder Woman, Dr Strange and Black Panther in that order.
Comic book: Cypher.
In seriousness, I don't know. Most heroes have had some kind of titled series it seems. Maybe switch it up and give Doom a comic book?

@battle_forum_junkie: damn, I don't know where I was, but if it wasn't well done then a well done one would be good

I'm with you on that. The Cajun thief needs a well-written solo.
@mrnoital: @battle_forum_junkie: The one be had WAS good though.
@dagmar_merrill: Eh. I wasn't too impressed. Granted, I only read a few issues before I dropped it, though.
@typhion: if they used Zolomon or Thawne it would be good
Movies?
Comics?

I thought that series was cute (nothing to write home about and far from what he deserves but it was cute). I love the idea of series for Gambit and by the inital interview with the creator I thought they a valid approach but the way they went about it fell flat to the standards I wanted that series to have.
@madeinbangladesh: Static got a solo

That was animated show.
@madeinbangladesh: He got a solo comic at the start of the New 52

Oh we are talking about comics? lol I thought were were talking about solo movies.
Also Orion, MM, Damian Wayne etc. If we're talking about movies then Flash, Shazam, GL, New Gods etc.
Good choices for comics and movies, with the exception of Captain Marvel, I don't want him to have a New 52 comic, because frankly I can't stand him in the New 52, and he should NEVER have a movie.

I assumed we were talking about comics, but then again the title is very ambiguous. I wouldn't mind seeing a Stiatic movie, or the possibility of a Teen Titans movie with Static on the team.

With the right creative team it can be good, ask the Green Arrow fans. And I know you don't want him to have movie but I'd frankly want to see it more than I want to see a WW movie.
@rustyroy: Let's face it, with superhero movies a lot can go wrong, and a movie about a kid who turns into a hero has a lot going against it. I'd rather not see my favorite character ruined. Also, even with a good creative team, you can't fix New 52 Billy, the damage has been done. Unlike Green Arrow or Superman, who both sucked but were fixed, Billy needs to start out right to be done correctly, and DC dropped the ball.

You can just ignore the movie if its bad, GL movie was bad but I still want to see a new GL movie, Batman and Robin was one of the worst movies ever and people still didn't stop loving Batman. And TT have been through the worst but its being redeemed, same can be done with CM.
@rustyroy: I can't, it's a permanent stain on that character. Look at Green Lantern, he was the hottest hero around, and after that film hit he took a dive. Teen Titans can be fixed because as bad as they've been DC hasn't ruined the group dynamic, however Captain Marvel is one of those rare occurrences where you need to get the origin just right, and Geoff Johns, as great as he is, failed to truly get why that's important. The only way DC could fix it is if they pull off something crazy like they did with Hal and Parallax, which I would be ok with, but I doubt they'd do that.

Well I can and GL is still one of the well liked. And I believe anything can be fixed, specially in comic book universe. CM just needs the write creative behind him.
@rustyroy: There is no denying fans, both comic and general, lost a lot of faith in the character after that abomination. Like I said, this is different then most characters, for him to truly work you need the correct foundation to build upon.
This may just be me on the deadpool bandwagon, but he deserves a solo movie or animated show. I know it's in the works right now for a movie, but I just feel like it won't be done right if it's not rated R. Deadpool is a gruesome character lol, he deserves to be done with as much blood and gore as possible. Point being, don't target his movie/ animated show towards kids. For a stand alone comic I would have said 2099 spiderman, but he has one so I'm content. Would love to see a doom comic.
@awesomeperson: blue marvel for comic books
im a hardcore BM fan as im sure you know but that would be a bad idea right now. he does not have the fanbase yet. but with my hard work and with him being in the mighty avengers he should get more popular. i would not want him to get a solo just for it to be canceled. he needs some villains and he needs to get his name known.
@captainmarvel4ever: What is it about the New 52 Shazam that you hate so much?
@maccyd: Billy is meant to be a good kid who faces the challenge of living in a world that's been terrible to him, and that's what makes him unique. In the New 52 they ditched that and made him a smart mouthed kid who acts out and has to learn to be good. I think trying to make him a rough kid who learns to be good is very unoriginal, and a bit lazy. Now he's just a shallow jerk used for some comedy relief, and I hate that. Plus they took away the name he had for over 70 years just to make him more marketable. Not to mention they changed his powers which I don't like, and I'm not a fan of the new costume (but I could live with it).
Hit-Girl needs another miniseries.
Big-Daddy needs a prequel miniseries cause he barely see anything from him.

Which comic books fans have lost faith? GL still is one of the highest selling comic book heroes, and has more than 1 ongoing.
@rustyroy: His numbers have dropped in recent years, and a lot of people say that DC should throw Hal out the window and use a different GL.
Venom,Carnage,Toxin if any of the symbiotes got a solo film I'd cry tears of joy. My ideal choice would be a Venom film with the License To Kill version making him more of a dark vigilante. I just wanna see a high budget Vulked out Venom fangs, slobber, huge eyes, and going crazy on some people. Not skinny midget looking Spider-Man 3 version.
