Who could "The Rock" play in a Marvel movie?

Okay so recently the man in the phenomenal film "The Tooth Fairy" Dwayne Johnson has said he wants to be in a movie for this small company!

Which has got me wondering who should the Rock play? I honestly have no idea. What do you guys think?

Only one I can think of is a reimagined Mondo. I suppose I could see him as a physical powerhouse type. Maybe one of the Wrecking Crew or something.

I could see him as Luke Cage or a really big or strong villain like Thunderball from the Wrecking Crew or Man-Ape for a Black Panther movie.

I would rather Teddy Crew be Luke Cage

He'd probably make a pretty cool looking Namor.

If you weren't too concerned about race I think he'd make a great Eddie Brock, he's got the physique and we know he could play egocentric, I know Eddie isn't like that now but at first he was a pretty cocky bastard.

Depends on how well he does as Hercules in Thracian Wars, he could play him in a Marvel movie.

No. Dwayne shouldn't play any role unless it's for a character that's horrible at acting.

I respect Luke Cage too much for him to ruin that role. My personal pick for Luke Cage? Right there.

Moving on from that Luke Cage pick, I gotta be honest. I really don't want him playing any role where he has to talk. Maybe a silent character.

lol at all the people who think he'd be good for Luke Cage. Come on guys, we already had Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, we don't need any other character to be reduced by a mediocre actor.

I always been an amendment believer that Dwayne Johnson would be a perfect Bishop.

So you'd much rather have an actor who is only good with summer action movies, and even that's a stretch, rather than an actor who can actually pull off a fun character, while being able to pull off serious moments as well. Nice. That's your opinion though.

That poster already listed "Oliva Wylde" though, so apparently acting skills didn't matter in that poster.

Honestly, I'll repeat myself. Any character that has a serious overtone at times, SHOULD NOT be touched as Dwayne.

Ohhh! No, lol. That's Terry Crews. You should look up some of his work. I really like him as an actor.

Rock needs to do us a favor and stay away from comic book movies.

I've heard the name passed around a time or two but I have to admit, Using IMBD I can't say I have seen a movie where he is more then Gang Member #3 except for the first Expendables. I'll get around to watching the sequel to it sooner or later. And if he does anything else action, I'll keep an eye out. Sorry about the confusion.

As it is, I'd pick deaf. We are so visually inclined that it would be less disruptive. Nagging wives seem a lot more bearable already.

Show all of those movies. Personally, he acts like the same character in all of those. He's good at cliche bad-ass characters. That's it. He shouldn't play a character's with humor and attitude with depth such as Luke Cage.

@sideburnguru: you're acting like terry crews deserves an oscar lol. neither of them are good actors. would i prefer the rock over terry crews? any day of the week. but the main thing is either one of them could have played any role that the other has. would i prefer either of them to portray luke cage? hell nooooo. just my opinion though. nice.
