Who could beat Silver Surfer?

As far as I know Silver Surfer is one of the most powerful characters in the MU, so my question is who could beat him and why? Out of Marvel or DC.

Heroes and villains or just heroes.

In Marvel, Above Thor level. Odin, possibly Adam Warlock depending on which version, Silver Age Dr. Strange possibly.

In DC, Above Superman level characters, Mega Lanterns (parralex, Ion, etc), Phantom Stranger, Spectre

Others, Solar, God Spawn,

Galactus. on a good day, black bolt or Gladiator or WWHulk. I'm not sure if he's immune to telepaths.

I'm going to say a very stereotypical answer and stay true to form, considering my avatar, White Phoenix of the Crown.

See, I didn't say Dark phoenix.

As for the why: Jean grey, in her white Phoenix incarnation, is also one of the most powerful members of the MU. Like Thanos with the IG and the One Above All (does he count?)

just to clarify. WWH/worldbreaker hulk does not beat Surfer. that's silly.

Galactus on a bad day beats SS. The others don't stand a chance, and SS is a powerful telepath.

Agreed on galactus. The good day was referred to the other three. Here is an interesting write up on Hulk vs Surfer.

Is Surfer the strongest of all the heralds?

yes, Surfer is the strongest of heralds. IDK about the Fallen One, he was created first and uses different power source than the Power Cosmic. Morg was pretty powerful, he and Surfer had some epic battles, but he augumented his powers, sooooo.............

@cosmicallyaware1: Are guys like Terrax and Ravenous close to Surfer's power level.

The Spectre, Time Trapper, Mordru, Dark Phoenix, Galactus, Parralax, Mr. Mxzpltzk (however that's spelled) Superboy Prime, Zoom. Some of these may be debatable, (some aren't, IMHO) but at the least all these could give SS a real battle.

@Cap10nate: those guys are not close to surfer's level. Terrax wa a herald, but not all heralds have comparable power levels. Surfer is in the upper echelon of the heralds. As far as Ravenous is concerned, he is powerful, but Ronan whooped his butt in Annihilation, and Strontian (Gladiators cousin) really handed it to him in the pages of NOVA. just FYI...............

@Manwhohaseverything: i don't think that was on the list but they can beat him.

that was written on the list but spectre, time trapper, mordu, galactic us etc. they can beat him. im a dc fan not marvel.
