Who can break Yata Mirror? *Discussion

The Yata Mirror was an ethereal shield wielded by the left arm of Itachi's Susanoo. It is said to be endowed with all nature transformations and able to change its characteristics to any nature transformation to completely negate any attack, whether it be spiritual, or physical.

Black Zetsu claimed that this, combined with the sword of totsuka blade held in its right hand, essentially made Itachi's Susanoo invincible.

Who can actually break these godly shield? Anybody has an idea?

Naruto or Sasuke Should be able to, Kakashi might be able to I don't see how it would stop a Kamui. Anyone who is stronger than anything Itachi has seen.

Anyone past multi-mountain level, because that's the best we've seen itachi's susano tank.

Debating who can break it is pointless since no upper limit has been shown. It might be more meaningful to debate who can avoid it and strike faster than Itachi can block with it.

Essentially no one can bypass the shield it tanks anything thrown at it.

@redbird3rdboywonder I see the point however I disagree because Itachi is completely invincible. Godly weapons are made by god which they even have no idea how to destroy it. It is basically created to be indestructible.

From the origin series, Naruto, Sasuke, Hashirama, Madara, Kaguya, and Toneri are the first people that come to mind. Basically anyone who's reached the status of being able to easily destroy mountains and villages. The only thing that's keeps it from being a certainty is that the mirror was only ever used like once or twice, and no supremely powerful atttack was ever visibly used against it. (Sasuke's Kirin might have been used against it, in which case the question is answered, but we didn't actually see if it was) It's therefore difficult to say what the Mirror's limit is in terms of tanking attacks.

Lots and lots of people. It's hard to play with as we don't have a good upper bound for it. I'd assume any standardized powerhouse could shatter it.

No physical or energy attack can harm it, it just bounces off. I would guess reality warping should get rid of it since we dont know how powerfull it is in that aspect. If it says it deflects all attacks in the manga then who are you to debate the author who specifically made it a certain way.

Its like trying to debate if dark type pokemon can be hit with telepathy just because its more powerfull than anything in pokemon. If it says they are immune then they just are.

debating on this site would be so much better if people ever learn the concept of a no limits fallacy.

No, no it wouldn't. NLF is nothing more than fanbase-created BS spawned by those who can't except what the author states as fact. Kishimoto said that nothing can bypass the Yata Mirror. I think I'll take his word over a few fans who can't accept manga facts and retaliate by creating BS notions of fallacy, him being the author and all.

Only time animated has ever been stronger than the comics from what I've seen is Dragonball to be honest. Even in the west. It's kind of sad cause there's lots of epic scenes that would make for amazing animations.

The answer is simple. Itachi edo tensei with nigh-unlimited chakra could sustain his Susanoo. But Itachi's spiritual weapon is more powerful than other high tier fictional characters. It it stated that his equipment ignore conventional durability. Totsuka Blade doesn't have physical form so it could pierce through anything and seal it. Yata Mirror could deflect any attacks.

Reality warpes such as Scarlet Witch or Mxy.

If its able to change every one of it properties to alter its attributes in accordance to the attributes of the ATTACK (Also known as ADAPTING) to physical or spiritual attacks.. then only reality warpers can bypass it like it or not.

Do you not see the difference between the comparisons.

1. Kishi himself said Yata was invincible..

2. The description is still there, is canon, and hasn't been disproved in canon.

3. It adapts to whatever physical or spiritual attack hits it.. end of story lol.

If your only argument is that NFL bs, and you have nothing else to disprove Yata.. then this is more of a personal problem XD.

@dbvse7: are you serious right now it's very concept is nlf. Please, I can name multiple nlf techniques in the series , that doesn't mean it's true.

• Kakashi Claims chdori can cut though anything failed to cut pre sage arc naruto and raikage.
• ochimarus purple flame barrier claimed that it's impossible to be broken from the outside.
• Kidomaru Claimed spider Web was unbreakable yet was broken in the next chapter
• Saskue claims his kusanagi is a sword that can't be blocked . Yet failing characters later.
• Amaratsu is embodiment of the sun (guide) and can burn anything yet took hours to burn down trees, failed to kill a average shinobi like karin, failed to burn through garas sand, failed to burn naruto with kuramas chakra. These are just the ones I can remember on spot, Everyone of these feats reaks with no limit fallacy

@flashback0180: And they have been disproved over and over while Yata has not and has been supported by Kishi. So I really don't see why those abilities being mentioned matter.. My point still stands.

So again, just yes or no.

1. Is everything in the guidebook wrong?

2. Has Yata been disproved in canon?

If the answer is no for both, the description for Yata is valid (it is because it hasn't been disproved), and Kishis own words are still valid.. then that whole NLF crap about Yata can get thrown out the window.

CV logic: Lets use the NLF card to say what something can't do.. even though the writer of that very thing says otherwise, and I have no evidence to support my claim.

Or even better, "let's use logic to explain fiction" lol.
