Really who can break it or at least put a dent in it?

#2 Posted by Aronmorales (9434 posts) - - Show Bio

Hmm...I don't know, maybe it's cosmically impossible to break it.

Cap's Shield Has Been Seen As Adamantium Like. It Seems Nobody Would Be Able To Physically Break It.

Thor Dented It Before Though.

Molecule Man broke it

#6 Posted by JiTooFlyNyC (18 posts) - - Show Bio

Isnt it made out of Vibranium? But I think a powerful cosmic force could maybe or someone who can reshape matter. Didnt molecule man do it once?

#7 Posted by Hellos (8838 posts) - - Show Bio

Anyone with matter manipulation should be able to do the strick.

Surfers board isn't that durable

Magneto and probably anybody with Anti-metal who knows its usage

superman,  superboy prime, monarch, OF thor

#12 Posted by Gregory Spook (72 posts) - - Show Bio

Thor with the OdinForce was able to dent it.
#13 Posted by King Quisling (1980 posts) - - Show Bio

Limited to the Marvel U? I'm sure Cable could. He shattered Silver Surfers board with his ultra crazy telekinetic powers.

OF Thor did this to Cap's shield:

#15 Posted by Ferro Vida (34227 posts) - - Show Bio

Cap's Shield is a metallurgical miss-hap created from a unique blend of Admantium and Vibranium that makes it the most durable substance of Earth.

His shield was broken during the Secret War and the Infinity War (by Thanos)

He faces people with the potential to break his board far more frequently than Cap faces someone who can even scratch the shield, though.

T'Challa's anti-metal claws could cut through them

Quite a few people from DC and Marvel
#20 Posted by MrDirector786 (43131 posts) - - Show Bio

Anyone with matter manipulation powers. Pre-Crisis Kryptonians, Odinforce Thor, Kal Kent, and more.

#21 Posted by Vrakmul (23395 posts) - - Show Bio

Anti-matter, although that could be considered cheating.

It's been destroyed before. So, it's not impossible.

I doubt a Kryptonian is putting a dent in some Thor had to enter warriors madness to achieve.

Silver Age Superman could probably smash the Shield to Pieces

Pre-Crisis Kryptonians > Warrior Madness Thor. "
How do I explain this..... It takes something that literally bends the rules of science to actually put a dent in the shield. The four times it's been broken, it's been by characters who have almost complete omnipotence. Thw power of the IG, Thor with the Odinforce, Cassic MM, and Classic Beyonder.

Now you can claim that PC Kryptonians are better then WM Thor. But the fact is, Thor is a being with massive mystical abilities. He dented the weapon with one of the most powerful mystical items in Marvel. Something no Kryptonian can equal.

Having to use a magic hammer makes it even worse.

Yeah. You keep thinking that.

I''ll be more than happy to think that a Warriors' Madness Thor could only dent a nearly indestructible shield with a magic hammer, and not his bare hands.

And I'll be more then happy to correct you on how a Kryptonian also couldn't replicate such a thing with their bare hands.

And, I'll be more than happy to correct you on how Pre-Crisis Kryptonians could destroy the shield, something that a Warriors' Madness Thor couldn't do with his bare hands, but only barely damage it with a magic hammer.

I'll let you dream that a Warriors' Madness Thor's strength is comparable to a Pre-Crisis Kryptonian, then.

If you want to think that Warriors' Madness Thor is as strong as Pre-Crisis Kryptonian, fine. But, I didn't agree on that, and Thor will never be that strong.

And I still disagree that a Kryptonian could ever hope to break Caps shield. Maybe dent, but not break.

My nine year old son, he can break anything. seriously though the serpent. odin's brother broke it in fear itself. the dwarfs of asgard fixed it with uru metal.

#45 Posted by SlimJ87D (8922 posts) - - Show Bio

Cap's shield can be broken by those with powerful abilities that involve matter manipulation such as molecule man.

The current Shield may not break as easy though as it is magically enchanted to Uru reinforced.

A lot of characters can, but just to name a few.

Silver Surfer.

Thor.

Beta Ray Bill.

Gladiator.

i think Hulk did it once.

Quasar.

Captain Mar-vell.

Nova.

any Herald of Galactus really.

most Omega lvl Mutants.

Magneto.

Dr. Strange.

Sentry.

Maybe Blue Marvel.

Juggernaut.

Molecule Man.

any reality warper.

and that just off the top of my head.

P.S. and this list does not include DC characters, which their are many as well

anyone above Thanos i'd say could at the very least dent it. we've seen what a sky faher can do.

Matter manipulation and magnetic control is well and good, but is anyone capable of physically breaking it with raw strength?
