who agreees with Comic Vine when they say that Magneto is the bst dc character? powers and feats side of things. Please dont argue in this thread, i want a simple answer and admins, please dont ruin my day like you did with all my other threads i started.

The reason why Magneto is seen as one of the best villain is because his motivation is justifiable. This wasn’t the case early on in his career because nothing of his motivation was mentioned, and the motivation was finally hammered home after his origin series: X men: Magneto testament. It's an amazing series and I would recommend it to everyone if they haven’t already done so.

Once you can relate to how or why a villain is forced to be a villain, everything just seems to flow so naturally. This is not to say Magneto is the only villains, whose actions are justifiable, he just happens to be one of the most popular one. With Magneto now being turned into an anti-hero his back story works just as well.

Especially after the short redemption arc I think Juggernaut and Dr. Doom have similar stories and appeal.

Because he's the most bada$$ jewish out there.

More or less this. The best villains are guys who see themselves as doing the right thing, because they believe in what they're doing. And someone who believes in what they're doing will go to any lengths to do it.

And its especially more terrifying when you find yourself, while perhaps not agreeing with them, understanding them.

Maybe it's limited to being my personal opinion, but conversation wouldn’t be fun if everyone agreed with everything you said. Disagreement, at least to some extent, makes for an interesting conversation, as long as people are being level headed.
