Sentry? Hyperion? Blue Marvel? Supreme? Other?
Which Superman "rip off" is your favorite?
Which Superman "rip off" is your favorite?
@mandarinestro: Rip off may not be the best word to use hence the quotations, but come on, you're being naive if you don't realize there are a shitload of superheros AND villans modeled aftter Supes. This is coming from somebody who doesn't even like Superman.
@sophisticated_ignorance: Omniman.
@sophisticated_ignorance: Doctor Who.
@sophisticated_ignorance: Omniman.
My list in order
Supreme
Sentry (Hyperion held 2 for years though)
Hyperion (Supreme Power/Current)
Icon
Apollo
Hancock
Hyperion
Superman is a "rip off" if you really want to go there.
Creativity is derived from inspiration. People need to learn to love the characters for who they are, and stop using the word "rip off".

^ These characters are "Superman inspired", not "Rip offs".
I think I'll go with Shazam/Captain Marvel.
@larryashlynn: @powerherc: Captain marvel is not a rip off of superman.... how is a boy giving the magical powers of 6 mythical beings by an ancient wizard compare to a alien child who gets powers because the sun is yellow... Captain marvel dose not use freeze breath dose not use laser eyes just because he can move fast and has strength and a cape he suddenly a rip off what i read was because captain marvel was doing better than superman back in the day in sales they said it was a rip off.
Keep in mind that what Superman could do was originally in the tag line 'faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, capable of leaping tall buildings in a single bound!' They just added a new power every few issues. Some stuck, others didn't.
@lesterlawton: Those comic covers are an interesting turn of events.
