Captain Marvel was considered enough of a rip-off of Superman back in the day (before he was a DC character) that his publisher had to stop publishing Captain Marvel comics. In response they created Marvel Man, who was a rip-off of Captain Marvel but just far enough away from Supeman to avoid another law suit. This is some rip-off-ception stuff here.
Which Heroe Is A Most Obviouse Ripoff Of Another
@avenging_x_bolt: superheroes teaming up? thats such an original idea...

im confused. when did i ever it was an original idea?
i said that the Avengers were a rip-off of the Justice League ( companies biggest superheroes, considered the greatest heroes of their universes, World's Greatest Super-Heroes/Earth's Mightiest Heroes so on and so forth)
female Question is a rip off of The Question, I believe.
She's more like a successor.
Solomon Grundy is a rip off of hulk.
deadpool is a death stroke rip off.
Actually Deadpool was meant to be a parody of Deathstroke, not a rip-off.
Yes, people really should use the dictionary to verify the meanings of words before they use them.
There are many threads on comic vine where people are very confused about what words mean.

I've heard Superman ripped off many thing from Captain Marvel.
Btw Big Daddy and Hit Girl seems like a ripoff of Batman and Damian Wayne Robin. Also Kickass is somewhat like Nightwing only less cool.
I win
Yeah, I think you win. That was pretty ridiculous.
A shameful display yeh im pretty sure i remember hearing that marvel sued the crap out of this guy
@themanintheshoe: The Squadron Supreme (first released in Marvel comics as the Squadron Sinister) were sort of an homage to the Justice League when they were created. They are analogues to the DC characters. They were created more as a respect to than a rip off. Rip offs are in my mind more about taking an idea without aknowlaging that in which you got your inspiration.
And actually I do believe that Hyperion was the first Superman "clone" Marvel had "created".
As far as rip-offs, the most blatant rip-opp in comics takes place in the same Universe (Marvel) with Wolverine and Owl... I mean come on they are damn near the same person......
Black Cat and Catwoman
Batman and Dardevil
Superman and Sentry
Green Arrow and Hawkeye
those are the first to come to mind but their are many more
@theacidskull: Grundy was made in the 40's. how can he be a rip off if he came 20 years before.
@theacidskull: yea but Grundy has not changed since the 40's. plus hulk is nothing like Grundy other than being lumbering.
As I said a year ago, the most blatant and obvious is Hyperion. Sent from a destroyed planet, he has super strength, speed, flight, heat vision and wears a cape.
He's the leader of the "Squadron Supreme" whose members include "Nighthawk" (Batman) Power Princess (Wonder Woman) Whizzer (The Flash) Amphibian (Aquaman) Dr. Spectrum (Green Lantern) and Skrullian Skymaster (Martian Manhunter)
The Flash is a Quicksilver ripoff. Obviously.
Isn't it the other way around? Quicksilver (1964) ripped off the Flash (1956).
The Flash is a Quicksilver ripoff. Obviously.
Isn't it the other way around? Quicksilver ripped off the Flash.
I was being facetious
