Not that DC is guilt-free of this, but it feels like a lot of Marvel events tend to be big hype with very little consequence as the curtain falls. It feels like nothing really changed or happened, back to square one. Not every one, mind you - I'm not setting this as a blanket rule. It's happened with DC as well, but overall I feel like their events are better executed and continually affect the DCverse, at least in respective corners.
That said, Mavel builds up and teases events much more appealingly than DC does, imo. And often, they get into the thick of it faster, DC sometimes takes a bit too long to really get things going, which makes events feel like they're dragging longer and moving slower. Marvel tends to be more fast-paced, which is something I genuinely appreciate. But even that loses its appeal when they pop out said events constantly without let-up. In the end , I believe I prefer DC events overall.
Probably dc. They have the bigger of the two and bigger always means better.
The hell it does. I'm honestly tired of "Crisis" events, there's only so many times you can get worried about multiversal calamities.
DC's events actually have positive outcomes...
This too

Yeah, sure loved Image United's ending!
@smashbrawler: I haven't started it yet. I'm only really interested in Shadowhawk, Spawn and Witchblade.
@reactor Marvel has a LOT of events. I mean a lot. And it always has someone or a group of people dying, just to come back later on down the line. I may sound like a scrub (not big into a lot of Marvel) but I just found out about Siege lol
@smashbrawler: Hahaha, that post had me laughing to tears.
DC because of COIE, aka, A reboot done right.
But New 52 is the best thing to happen to comics ever.
Said no one ever.
Dc is winning again... how surprising
Umad? ;)

Dc always wins.
I liked Civil War more than any DC event. A look into the role of the superhero and his duties and the subsequent implications for the modern world is far more interesting than a bunch of dudes punching each other.

Exactly. They pop em out so much, they just become nigh-redundant

And none of even have villains, it's always Hero vs Hero, in some stupid power struggle.
DC for me. Final Crisis solos.
