We all have moms. Some of them don't care for comic books. Some of them read them as kids. Some of them remember and even mentioned what they read and liked. I'll start. My mom did read comics as a little girl. She says she read Batman and Superman. Based on how she talks and remembers that Batman's alter ego is Bruce Wayne, I'd say that's the character she likes most if she had to choose. She mentions how she remembers Bruce being rich (something girls are attracted to lol) Some of you, your moms are probably younger. Do they like comic book characters? Do they have a favorite? Do they talk about it? PS: my mom read Donald Duck comics a lot too and Archie lol.
Which comic character does your MOM like?
The only time my Mum has talked about comics is when she confused the original Supeman film from the 70s with Spider-Man. So she saw Superman and seemed to have liked him. Doubt she read comics though.
@extremis: lol, cool

Everybody and their grandmother knows that Batman is rich. No need to bring stereotypes into this.
@johnnygat: that's awesome.
My moms hates anybody not superman or wonder woman.
Batman/Daredevil/spiderman/XMen are all trash that comes out of the pits of hell and Satan himself!
I think my mom might have watched the Wonder Woman show as a teenager, emphasis on might. I actually can't imagine her reading comics, ever. She's very...serious.
@ballpointhero: what? ... out of my thread that is what you want to grab on to? man, I'm gonna be polite and turn the other cheek, just keep away from my threads if you got nothing to contribute.
My mother doesn't follow the comic book world like most of us fans, but she does like Superman, even more now that we've seen Man of Steel like four times.
My mum only likes Superman really. She likes what he stands for and his strong moral compass which she sometimes uses in post argument talks with me if we've had a run in and I've 'misbehaved.' She even wrote about Superman in one of her papers on her Communication, Media and Culture university degree and I had to lend her one of my comics to show and tell what their papers were on.

Ha ha! Sounds like a cool mother you have there :)

It's annoying at the time but I will admit it does make me better for it.
I was reading through Bendis's Daredevil last year. My mum asked what I was reading so I outlined the concept to her. She seemed to like the idea and asked to borrow the first trade (having never read a comic in her life??). I nearly fell out my chair. She's been a big DD fan ever since. To this day she still asks me if I have any more Daredevil books when I'm over visiting. It's beyond weird.
My moms not into comics at all. My grandma on the other hand read Amazing Spider-Man, and watched the 90's cartoon. lol.
Superman I guess, my Mom misheard when his name was mentioned (the name being Kal-El being misheard as Kyle) and named me after him.
Too funny.
My mom liked pretty much all the Batman movies and I think she also liked Man of Steel, The Avengers and the Spiderman trilogy. She's pretty cool when it comes to movies.
@silkyballfro94: you're lucky :)
My Mom liked the 60's Adam West Batman TV show. That's probably why she thinks The Dark Knight trilogy is too dark.

i just bought a daredevil off ebay and my mom didnt freak out,i was surprised!
My mom loves superhero movies and cartoons. I remember when I was little she and I would watch X-Men: TAS all the time. We used to see the Fox studios Marvel movies whenever they came out, something we stopped doing around X-Men Origin: Wolverine because I got older, but now I take her to see the movies (after I've already seen them at midnight with my friends). Her favorites are Wolverine, Storm, Batman, Iron Man, and Spider-Man.
No one. I can barely get her to watch a comic book MOVIE let alone a cartoon or read a comic.
I did finally get her to watch The Amazing Spider Man last weekend though. She thought Peter and Gwen were a cute couple :3 but thats about the extend of her feelings on the matter.
My mom's favorite hero is Captain America and has a few of his comics.
She also says how she watched some of the bad superhero shows like Adam West Batman, Wonder Woman, Marvel 1960s shows, and Spiderman. She also has seen majority of the superhero movies since the 60s. She surprisingly has a decent knowledge for a semi casual fan.
My dad on the other hand.........
