Which comic book had the most number of issues? I know that "The Amazing Spider-Man" had over 700 issues, but was there ever a comic book series that had over 1,000 issues all in one run?
There are many ongoing comics with thousands of issues...but those are never American, the longest-running American comic was Detective Comics and Action Comics had the highest numbering because it went weekly for a year but the only American comic to have over 1000 issues was Four Color although after 1000 it started skipping issues.
As of right now, the longest ongoing comic to keep its numbering is Hellblazer but that is getting cancelled so I believe it will become Spawn.
