Where has the memorable superhero themes/scores gone?

Okay, so superhero movies are big but they are missing something! A classic theme that defines that characters especially in this pre-Marvel era.

Seriously where have this kind of things gone:

I mean we also had this one (personal fave):

And of course this is still one of the most memorable themes from the last decade:

So do you miss superhero themes?

I think its because you can't replace the iconic ones and that directors don't want to encourage association of their film with the previous incarnations or other peoples work. They want their film to be wholly and totally their vision.

I also think most themes of today fail in two critical categories:

1. Make the theme easy to remember so that we will start humming it and not realize we are doing it. Some themes are just too complicated.

2. You have to use the theme more than once for it to really stick in our heads. And part of the reason this doesn't happen goes back to the whole vision thing...

Man of steel has a good score

it's the fact that you can't replace the classics. you'd be saying "what's up with the Superman soundtrack" if Man Of Steel came out before. it's human nature(I think)

They're out there, just comes down to personal taste.

I don't know about Marvel, it seems like they care less about the scores. I can't remember any when I left the cinema.

@lyrafay: Like I said it comes down to personal taste, the only thing I can clearly say are memorable are things I find memorable I'm not here to tell other people what they find memorable :P. So with that I've had quite a few soundtracks from Marvel I quite enjoy and find memorable. Spider-Man's is also up there along with Iron Man.
