I know this isn't a battle, but this does pertain to the battles section so I thought it'd be okay here. I've been doing CaVs recently, and I usually get my scans from respect threads and just save them to a file in my computer. I was wondering how others obtain their own scans and thought it'd be fun to make a thread about it. So, how do my fellow Viners get their scans?
Where Do You Get Scans From?
For Comics,I get the digital verison
For Manga, find them on a manga site
this is not for the battle thread.
Respect threads are a good place to look
Respect Threads don't always tell the whole story. Context is important.
This is actually one of the reason I only debate with Manga characters, cuz I can find manga scans anywhere but for comic I got to dig around.

True.
I just take photos of the panels in comics or TPBs I own. It's not nearly as good quality as a scan would be, but it seems to be enough to get the main idea across.
Edit: Found a scan to compare the quality:
With better lighting, a photo could maybe be about as good as a scan.
@shawnbaby: the good ones always have context. I have a word doc at home full of links to great respect threads. They're not too hard to find especially for popular characters.
The old fashioned method, generally...I scan my comic books. My FF and SS is on DVD, so I do screen shots, then edit/crop the images.
I did have it set up on my tab so that I could take screen shots that automatically upload to my photobucket account. Lo and behold, I updated my android and my screen shot icon disappeared and my automatic upload to photobucket is now gone.

I'll take a screenshot if it's a digital comic. If not, I Google it or I ask somewhere.
Like this thread.
Option One: Respect Threads. Preferably threads that explain the context behind the feats.
Option Two: Digital comics. It has many benefits and scans are easily accessible.
Option Three: Book scanners. For those that love the smell of fresh comic books and love how its old school, scanners will convert the physical form to digital formatting.
Hope that helps.
