Where can I rent Graphic Novels and Mangas

We all know http://netflix.com is where you to rent DVDs and http://gamefly.com is where you go to rent games. Where in the nine hells do you go to rent graphic novels and mangas?

Well I tried and tried and I finally found 1 site that had a very small selection of graphic novels, but a huge selection of regular books and other great works http://bookswim.com. However I was dissatisfied with the graphic novel and manga selection.

I launched the 1st ever strictly Graphic Novel and Manga rental store http://fangrabs.com

What other online rental stores have you stumbled upon or think there needs to be a service for?

@Pexx: Do you not have a local library that has graphic novels and manga?

My library refuses to carry them and I live out in the sticks so I have order everything strictly online.

@Pexx: Oh. Well I have no idea then.

Good luck with your search. :)

... ya know, that's an interesting thought. We have Netflix and GameFly (for movies / shows and games, respectively), but we don't have a strictly book / comic book rental / streaming service outside of the library. And really, in the age of digital media, I'd think we'd have "digital streaming" for books. Then again, it might be too easy to take screenshots and pirate. So maybe it's too soon right now. It is an interesting idea, though.

Well the problem with the digital unless you are pirating there seems to major holes between story arcs or major series.

not really...most series these days are put up digitally with every issue the very day that they're released in book form...I know that every DC book is up that way and I believe that all of Marvel is as well...even most of the smaller publishers like Image and IDW are going day of digital

I've found holes several times with Marvel. Not that it isn't a bad deal for what they are offering, but I'll be reading reading it's starting to get real good and then bam there's a gap.

are you talking about older series or the new stuff?

Mostly older titles I am trying to catch up on. The newer stuff seems to be less of it.

@Pexx: yeah the older stuff on Comixology is going to be hit or miss because they actually have to go through and scan all of those old issues so I would say that you should get what you can there and then search for the trades on Amazon or other sites...I just looked and new issues are put up the day they're released in print

That's a fairly reasonable idea. Thanks for the advise danhimself
