I got really upset at the ending of Secret Six and the death of Artemis in Wonder Woman, since I'm catching up on back issues.
When was the last time a comic made you cry?
Never cried but got a lil sad.
Ultimate Red Skulls origin
Death of Ultimate Peter Parker.
Death of The Rhinos wife.
When all the Asgardians were slauthered in Ultimates 3 I believe.n
Not gonna lie, I got a bit misty in the All New X-Men issue where Scott (from the past) and Alex meet up. That was a very nice moment in the middle of a story where everything else is just going terrible, especially for Scott (who I'm not normally a big fan of). There's also been a couple places in Saga so far.
Edit: Oh, and the very end of Flashpoint. If the Bats can cry you can too.
@sog7dc: I think I came the closest to crying when I saw this scan.
Same here.
I know that I have cried on some occasions, just can't think of any now. When Damian died it was sad but I wasn't so much into DC back then so I didn't cry.
But I recall a pretty recent comic made me cry, was it when Ian died, No! Eh, it's safe to say I have cried at least.
Was it Ultimate Comics: Spider-man 22? The one where miles lost a parent. I admit, I shed a tear.
Before that, I would have to say... well, I didn't cry, but it did hit me in the feels, that one issue of Superman a couple of years ago, when Superboy died, and Krypto was mourning his death. They knew what they were doing lol.
Cry from a comic? Umm never ... Babies cry and babies can't read ... If you cry during a comic .......... Nvm
Never cried but the following moved me:
1. Blue Beetle(Ted Kord) dies for the greater good.
2. Supergirl and Flash deaths in the pages of COIE. That is the series that made me a DC fan for life.
3. Jason Todd gets killed. I still want to know who were the a$$holes that called to vote for death.
4. When I read somewhere of how Jonah Hex ends up after he dies. I'm not gonna spoil it.
5. Jarvis gets beaten by Mr. Hyde and Capt. America is forced to watch unable to help.
6. Superman dies in Lois' arms!
@black_arrow: I agree. Btw the animated movie Superman: Doomsday , has an excellent extra feature where the creators speak of those scenes they wrote in the comic book... you will be moved and possibly cry along, in a good way of course. You can tell the love all those creators had for Superman.
I never cried over a comic book. But there have been some, that made me sad or shocked.
1. Amazing Spiderman # 121: The Night Gwen Stacy Died.
2. The Death of Superman
3. Hellstorm Prince of Lies # 14. Patsy Walker's suicide.
4. Uncanny X-Men Annual #6. Dracula turning Rachel Van Helsing into a vampire. Rachel having Wolverine kill her.
5. Nightstalkers # 18. Hannibal King and Frank Drake sacrifice themselves in a battle vs. the first vampire Varnae. But even worse, Blade has to kill his old friend from Tomb of Dracula, Taj Nital. Because Varnae made him a vampire. It was the only time that Blade showed emotion, other than hate and anger, in the whole series.
6. The original Supergirl's death. (I don't remember what issue)
7. Spiderman: One More Day. Edit: oops Brand New Day.
8. I almost forgot one. Darkhold # 5. Someone uses a page from the Darkhold book, for their own purposes. The Punisher attempts to stop him. The villain brings the Punisher's family back from the dead, as an offer to him. The Punisher believing it is just an illusion kills the villain, and stops the spell before it is completed. The Punisher's family disappears.
Never cried, but the latest issue of Thor where he finds out Jane Foster has breast cancer made me feel a pang of sadness.
Animal man annual #2 was pretty close (the last page) and so was ASM the black issue (9/11), even though i was 3 a the time and not american (Australian).
Also the Ulitmate spider-man #160 joe quesada cover alone nearly did aswell.
Never actually cried but these ones made me feel pretty sad:
Death of Ultimate Spider-man
Death of Ben Reilly
The conclusion to Taskmaster's mini-series (the saddest thing I think i've ever read in a comic)
The origin of Dex-Starr ANYONE who did not feel sad at this panel has no soul!!!!:
I almost cried when I recently read Thor: God of Thunder #12 when Thor went out of his way to get an ancient fruit for a prisoner on death row's last meal. He then stayed with him until he was executed. Hit me hard in the feels.
@wolverine08: @strider92: Both Dex-Star and Thor issue are great examples.
Only two moments have managed to illicit a tear from me. A certain character death towards the end of Y the Last Man and the end of the Country Nurse: Essex County. Last panel in Sweet Tooth got me pretty choked up too though.
@norrinboltagonprime21: However letting your emotions out is an quality upon itself
I had to cry when Green Arrow died in Green arrow volume 3 (i'm an Green Arrow fan)

I was kidding!
Although I have never cried reading a comic, I've gotten close a couple of times.
Let's see...last time I remember crying from a comic, off the top of my head, would be the end of Journey Into Mystery. But that wasn't like sobbing crying.
@bumpyboo: no no, I can, still. I don't know. It's just that I like stories where the characters feel more characterized. Helps me get sucked in. But that's one way to enjoy stories, there are others.
Also, I sometimes tear up if a story brings up a point I'm sensitive too, but that's not the story making you cry, it's more like you are making yourself crying. I think the post was referring more to people being so involved in a story to actually feel very bad for the characters.
@matteopg: Well, only speaking for myself here. But there are many reasons a comic, a film, a book, a song can make you cry. It evoked a very strong emotional response for me, so I posted it. Not meaning to sound rude but, there are elements of it that are very, very dear to me so I would prefer not to discuss it any further. I can see your point but at the same time, we're all different, and whether it made me cry or not isn't something I really feel the need to explain or justify.
It's a sore subject is all. Absolutely nothing personal, with no offense intended :)
Hulks reaction to Jaeralla's death sorta got too me, and Gyro death in part 7 just straight up hurt me.
