Whats your comic of the year 2013?

...I'm thinking of a single comic issue which you enjoyed the most, rather than a particular series.

I only started buying again in June and my "pull list" is fairly modest, but for me, its between Thor God of Thunder #9 and the most recent issue of Action Comics, funnily enough! Honourable mentions to Superman/Wonder Woman #2 and Flash # 24.

For me, the one which really stood out, mostly because of the emotional value of the issue and what it meant, is Green Lantern #20. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

But excluding that oversize issue and counting only normal single issues, I'm not really sure. I enjoyed Superman Unchained #1, Thor God of Thunder #9, Batman/Superman #3.1 and others.

I have to think about it by i think these are my favorites:

1. Action Comics 26
2. Green arrow 20

I think i really enjoyed Unity #1. I'll add more in a while

Wonder Woman 23. That issue was absolutely glorious and improved the already high standard of the series to new heights. The conflict, the tension and the characterisation were spot on in a brutal clash against the First Born's army and the jaw dropping twist of Wonder Woman killing Ares and becoming the new God of War. Definitely my favourite issue of the year by far.

Single issue? Green Lantern #20. Geoff Johns manages to almost perfectly wrap up his brilliant run of the GL universe and creatively and emotionally piece together a worthy send off that sometimes makes you feel nothing should follow afterwards.

Probably Manhattan Projects #12. It's certainly got that Hickman trademark "make you care about a character and the make you miss them" moment. He better not pull that crap with Laika.
