I'm just think out loud about some scenario that I think would be cool to see in The New 52 comics and in the Young Justice TV series.
What would you like to happen and what do you think of mine?
- Return of Stephanie Brown - While I only Wikipedia history of her as Spoiler, I really loved as Batgirl. It was very witty and easily the one of the funniest comics I ever read. In general, I think Stephanie Brown is fan favorite because made mistakes and had a lighter tone that the other Bat books don't have. Plus her interaction with Damian was always great. There been rumors of her being in the New 52 and I would like to see that. To be honest, I not feeling Barbara Gordon back as Batgirl. She was a much more interesting and diverse character when she was Oracle. Plus, after seeing The Killing Joke and Batgirl #0, she wanted to retire from Batgirl which why her wanting to be Batgirl again doesn't make a lot of sense. It would be a dick move and a cop out to put her back in the wheelchair, a scenario I was thinking of was that after the upcoming Death of the Family Arc (which looks like to ties in to Killing Joke and Death in the Family), she would go back to being Oracle and Stephanie can be Batgirl again if that continuity is unchanged. I'm just saying this because her as Spoiler might not be enough to carry a solo title. If they do bring her back as Spoiler, maybe she can be in another title like the Teen Titans or Birds of Prey
- Return of Wally West - If you seen Young Justice, you saw what I thought was a really accurate interpretation of Wally West, even when he retires because he feels out matched by Barry Allen (The Flash) and later Impulse. Now that Impulse is visiting from the Future and Iris Allen is already pregnant, I thinking I would like to see Barry Allen either dying or move to the future. That way, Wally (like in the comics) would be the first sidekick to take over the mantle of their mentor. Because of the 5 year skip in season 2, Young Justice is able to have a sense of aging and time passage and if there is a Season 3, this could happen. As for the comics, although Impulse is already around, I would like to see Wally West in the New 52, even if he just like the "nephew" of a reporter that Barry Allen is seeing.
- New 52 Hawkgirl- I recent heard someone saw how they wish how DC would introduce Hawkgirl and mold her toward the Shayera Hol from Justice League animated series. What better time to do this than in a recent reboot. That way, her character is more familiar to those who grew up with the TV show.
- Young Justice Unlimited- What I mean is, if Young Justice get a third season, why not expand it? What made the transition for JL to JLU great was that they were able to introduce tons of popular and obscure characters from the DC universe. In season 2, they were able to show aging and character development (Robin to Nightwing, Tim Drake to Robin, Superboy/Megaan, Aqualad to "villian") plus a new cast of characters. I say keep it going. The problem with the New 52 is the universe has less characters and Heroes. Use the TV as a way of showing characters that can't be in the current comics or emphasize lesser know characters. They are doing it with Blue Beetle, why not other young heroes like Batwing or Spoiler. Also, Stargirl, a character I find interesting because of her how she was created and how she is a hero/teen icon. Since she going to be in the new Justice League of America title(and a lack of any other DC series) , why not have her be in Young Justice. Marvel ties in there movie, comics, and TV universes all the time and seems to work.
Also, initially I wanted to add "change Amanda Waller" back, but I read the Team 7 #0. It has a new interpretation of her as strong, badass government agent rather than the skinny, typical pretty girl from Suicide Squad. Prudent change.
